Hey guys

We want to buy our son a new tablet for xmas

We are stuck between iPad air 2 and the latest samsung galaxy 10" tablet

He is 10 and his main hobby is gaming and you tube (he has his own channel)

Any help would be appreciated

What type of gaming IE is it Ios games

could be worth a look if you have a pc with NVidia g card as you can play your pc games on the tab but you have to be on wifi
with the cash you save you could get a pc as well ;p

I've got a 10.1" Samsung Galaxy Tab "A" - had it about a year and absolutely love it.

Huge screen, durable, can upgrade memory by 64gb.

I prefer football and engines

I just can't decide which one to buy as Apple products are supposed too sing and dance but why is the galaxy cheaper?

joeten as for gaming he has xbox 1 but he does do the app stuff as well

I think he can stream his games from his xbox to it as well(but idd check that)

its only 8" but that makes the screen harder to bust

if I read it right he can have his xbox on at home and play his xbox games at grandmas on the wifi on it

and just to pimp it up

Thats going to get some serious consideration as he finds it impossible to leave the house without some sort of electrical device in his hand

I prefer a galaxy out of the 2 as there is more freedom to download what you want?

I would not give a 10 year old an ipad just because of the cost (hard wear and soft wear)
the Samsung is a ruddy good tab but still expensive for an android tad
if you want to spend that much idd have a look at the Microsoft surface or alike ie a proper pc in a tab

Kids will prefer Android or Ipad due to the amount of apps and games that are on the market
Windows mobile is very limited on whats available
You see a lot of games that are released for apple and android and the devs refuse to do windows

Find out what games your son and his friends are playing, then check the platform the games are on

"Someone I work with, wants to get his kid a tablet, what would you recommend?
