Another quick B&M story....

Found another new B&M in my area today....

Went in. Had a look round. Pretty much usual fare.

Then, a liquid bottle on the shelf caught my eye - Grant's Custard....in a B&M shop....Hmmmm!

They were selling 100ml bottles. Thought I would ask, out of curiosity, how much?

100ml....GBP 55........

I asked, politely, what the percentage of liquid platinum content inside the bottle was....before casually observing that I could make 100ml of Kreed's magnificent custard for about a fiver....

B&M's....hmmmm......

I'm sure Grant's is really good and I know people are excited about the new batch from the source tomorrow - but, as for this B&M, whether it is 1100% better than my DIY.....I will never know

What shop was it? Was it grants vanilla custard or grants custard...i ask as i know theres a few copies that tries to be the real deal. And isnt lol

Where i live there's a fiver difference in the cost of certain 30ml bottles of the same stuff and the next town over. £13 each or 3 for £30 (30ml)
next town over sells 8.50 or 3 for £25.50 or you can have 100ml for £25 or 2 100ml for £40.When big bottle out of stock they knocked £2.50 off price and sold lil bottles so there are people out there who want to live in this world and not own it(thankfully).
I kinda feel from my limited experience that the only B & M that are always busy are the ones that give advice free and often round your total down maybe just a quid or two,will remain and the ones that are like a tobacconist shop selling profitable stock wont last as long.
But what price is too much?? I kinda get the feeling those who ramp the price up too much(because they reckon its still cheaper than 20 cigs just!) will find out some time next year when their shops/stall is empty of peeps

Edit: ATM im looking over the fence to see the lovely green grass of DIY town still stuck in shop-bought land, luckily enuff ive found a map that shows the way to DIY town and it looks to me theres only 1 more set of roadworks before i join you all

I've made most of the first 4 pages but whittled down to 10 I really rate for my tastes. Lots of trial and error. It's really strange how you can really dislike something yet a friend will think it's amazing

All this talk of local B&Ms - Good ones, bad ones..... You guys don't know how lucky you are!

Nearest one to me is about 2,600 km away. Google says it's around 28 hours driving time. Each way.

Iffn I was able to front a B&M, I kinda think I'd hand over my credit card and backpack to the shopkeep and tell him just keep loading the second until the first breaks.

A few years back, the vaping snobs would have told you that your lungs would implode and your bollox would fall off vaping liquid of such poor quality and price

How views have changed over the last couple of years

i still have a bottle left which may or not help you sing soprano sort of a "you forgot to wash empty bottle properly kinda deal" hint of chewy fruity menthol kinda deal. I must say tho bottom of my sink in kitchen looks brand new now    maybe thats why out our back door nothing flies close to our house sort of a no fly zone till i get it right
