Whilst the MG level of your vape does have influences elsewhere, I do not believe for a minute that they would have any effect on your throat or any irritation there.
On the up-side of my cold, I have greatly reduced my e-juice level and have gone from about 3.5ml a day to 2ml over 4 days!!!!
One battery charge is also lasting 4 days.
However, all things considered, I think I would rather not have a cold at all!!
When my throat gets really sore, I am using Covonia Throat Spray and this is helping a lot.

Yes Jane, high PG% can hit your throat and make you cough.
I normally vape 3mg, 30% PG and 70% VG, but if I go up to 4mg it causes me to cough!

Thank you all for your very helpful advice, you are right about the cold coming and going, one day fine next day crap and coughing, , It's strange but I don't cough as bad when I vape with my aspire sub on my CF SUB, hope that makes sense, I'm useless with all the technical points on all the different types of mods and subs. As far as juice is concerned I normally vape at 12mg and 70-30 vg, I intend cutting down to between 6 and 10mg, actually my cold seems to be a bit better today and I haven't coughed once. once again thanks. Going for the sympathy here........mine has developed into full-blown 'Man Flu' (moan, groan)..... My step-daughter (a nurse) advised 'drinking lots....of WATER' (WTF?!!  ) But worse........2nd day of 9w tootle-puffing on BLOODY MENTHOL!!!  (I tried My usual 'baccy at 30w this morn' & seriously thought that I'd blown the bottoms out of My lungs!! Ouch!) |

DaveJ Appreciate the link M8:- useful to show the wife to try & stop Her scoffing! I literally have ALL of the symptoms listed there; yes, REALLY! (The vision of Satan may have been the lad with rap vids on YT again...but think I deserve the benefit of the doubt...)
