I've had a cold for the last two weeks and have been coughing but now my cold is a lot better but each time I vape I cough for England, I did try some juice which was on offer, it's called Raisin at 12 nic weather that's the reason I'm coughing I don't know but I've also tried another juice at 12 and I don't cough quite as bad but still bad enough, could this damn cold be mostly to blame, I know you are not doctors but was wondering if anyone else has had the same experience, thanks , JamesRD.

Ahaa. Now I know who gave me this cold. It was jamesrd you swine you!!!! Yup, I'm in the same boat when I vape. Indeed of the 5ml ejuice in my tank, I reckon I have got through all of 2ml in the last 4 days. The only way I can vape is to take about half a mouthful in, then exhale about half of that before inhaling the rest. It still chokes me a bit, but the effects are getting better now. If my throat gets really sore, I give it a skoosh of Covonia Throat Spray. I had the same sort of cold/cough several months ago and the cough bit hung around for ages. So don't expect to get over it anytime soon. Sorry if that is a downer, but better to know than not. Just keep the inhales shallow and the wattage on a minimum and you'll get there eventually.

Yup It's easy to blame the vaping as I've done in the past with a chest infection that went on for about 2 months. You’ll soon find out it isn't I bet you. Get well soon

ive had a bizarre cough last few days(colds normal last 1/2 day since i started vaping) was worried maybe it was flavouring or switching to lung inhaling but on a positive note i mixed up some 0mg and doesnt feel any different to me so its 2 fingers up to tpd from me.

Please be wary of going 0mg as the effects of nicotine or the lack of it can take weeks or even months to become apparent.
I found this out years ago when still smoking and trying various means to get off the fags.
Also a couple of years back when I tried to cut down my mg levels while vaping.
Nicotine withdrawal will affect different folks in different ways and there is no one rule for all.

When I first tried vaping early in the year I coughed like a trooper, and this being a veteran GV smoker. The nic was 18mg @ 70pg/30
When I attempted to give up again 1st Nov I cut to 6mg 50/50 slight coughing but coughing up heaps of fluid, I even feared it might be early stages of pneumonia.
I stuck with the programme tho and after 2-3 weeks all was well. I was amazed reading various advice I was able to satisfy my nic craving @ 6mg
Not sure if any of that helps but a low nic and lower PG was really noticeable to my lungs

I have an "end-of-term" cold developing (I'm a peripatetic music teacher), and am already mentally going through my juice cupboard to find the menthols and mints to soothe and clear passages. I have a horrible feeling that by this time tomorrow, I will be heavily vaping Clara-T and Cornish Liquids Rocket Fuel, their (very nice) take on Red Astaire. Don't share a driptip with me for at least 73 hours

What VG and PG ratios are you using jamesrd ? The higher your VG content, then the softer it will be on your recovering throat . . . . I had a cold back in the summer, after the worst of it's effects went - it seemed to take weeks for my cough to finally go, about six IIRC. Some of these lurgies can be persistent beggars to completely shake off.

Got rebuked by a GP a few years back when vaping when I thought I had a chest infection - he said 'nope tis a virus - why are you bothering me'- Went home - upped the Vegetable Glycerine - sorted!!! or it could be the dreaded lurgy Hope you get it sorted Jane
