Hello, I've been vaping for almost 5 years now thanks to the advice I got early on from this website.
From day 1 I've been using the same liquid, batteries and clearos, but wondering if I can do better - I just have no idea what the latest trends/reputable brands are. I don't want to spend loads experimenting though, and this is my major concern.
My setup is just a basic ego style battery with an iClear16. I feel there's a good bit of heat and 'drag' from this clearo whereas I've attempted to use bottom coiled heads and it feels like I'm sucking through a straw and there's no heat whatsoever. Not at all satisfying.
Problem is with the occasional leaks and general maintenance of these and mainly the fact that the iClear makes me go through masses of juice. I'm filling it up around 4-5 times a day and in all honesty it's not giving me any flavour or real satisfaction. With the batteries I never know anymore how to distinguish the fire hazards from the reputable brands. I used to use Joyetech but then vapeescape closed down so I've been getting whatever basic batteries I can get.
My juice of choice is LB medium from FreedomVape - apparently they are stopping selling the nicotine version soon? I am so out of the loop.
Sorry for the waffling, any recommendations would be great from those of you up to date with it all!

Other than the glass tank (dont drop em FFS) the Ego Aio is a nice simple device. The standard .7 SS coils give a nice warm vape. E grip II may be worth a consideration as you only vape 1 juice. Has a bit more to play with button wise but are super stealthy. link

I have vaped the same liquid for 4 years and very happy doing so, don't feel that you need to have something different and are missing out if you are happy, but at the same time if you think you may like something else got for it. Whatever keep you off the stinkies is right regardless of how other people vape, though tanks have come a long way in the last few years and well worth investigating.

I always recommend Uwell Crown tanks and an Evic mini for people that want something decent at a good price. Very satisfying with decent cloudage if you get the 0.5 coils. If you want whispy vapes then you can always get the 1.2ohm coils from myepack.co.uk

If you don't mind a box, i'd recommend the aspire Plato. Similar vape to what you're using now with the 1.8 coils, holds a fair bit of juice and faff free. Mine hasn't leaked a drop yet.

Excellent faff free device. Although I don't use one myself, my wife purchased this device a couple of months ago. She has been vaping for over three years, was never really all that happy with the devices she had and struggled not to go back on the stinkies. Since getting a Plato, she is now happily enjoying vaping and has no notion of a cigarette. As bluemagnum has stated, the form factor might not be to everyone's liking but it is definitely an underestimated piece of kit.

I'm with the others on the Aspire Range.
I use the Eleaf Istick 20W with an 5ml Aspire Nautilus Tank. (1.6 or 1.8 ohm coils). One charge of the battery and one fill of the tank and I can vape for 22 hours vaping at about 5 watts and no leaks.
I too am on the same tobacco type e-juice and have been for 4 years now.

Hi! Many of us remember the iClear16. Top coil, often 'warm' and tight draw. Innokin introduced a few clearos around that time. The original iClear30 was not 100% reliable and these days is one of those products probably best avoided as greedy companies whack up the price of the coil heads. They did an iClear30 S which some of us enjoyed. ..which brings me to the latest incarnation of the 'cartridge' style of atomizer heads. The "Endura" tank (seen in the T18 and T22 kits) used a similar coil head to the 30 S and that is where I would start my search. Failing that, a good old Nautilus from Aspire.

Thanks! Loads of info to try and take in here. The Aspire Plato looks nice but yeah, not sure on the box format and it's expensive... I can see why it would be worth the outlay though. Also showed me how outdated I am - you can update the firmware on it?!! lol...
I'm just having a look at this evic mini. It's so confusing still. There seems to be a 60w and a 75w version. In fact all this stuff about wattage and ohms is what has scared me away from trying anything other than basic but it seems like that's all there is these days.
Same with the heads, I never know what I'm supposed to buy to get a tight (not too tight) draw, some heat and I couldn't care one jot about the amount of cloud, if anything I'd prefer less because I tend to stealth-vape at work or whatever lol.
As I named my first ever thread here years ago, it's a bloody minefield!

The evic mini aint that big its just a little bigger than a couple of 650 ego batteries. you can update the 60W to 75W IIRC.
