I got the "Olympian Imist Starter Kit - Tank System - 1100mAh Battery" only a few days ago (my first kit) but its doing my head in... When it works wow its great but half the time im trying to get it to work right, dont know if its just the juice im using (you can google it first link Purecig Pre-mixed E-Liquid - Size : 10ml, Strength : 18mg) But anyhow i cleaned it today and the juice was leaking into the battery took ages for the wick to get the juice started. Where you put the wick in there is a little metal bit that holds it, that keeps popping out rar

Sorry to hear that judgey. Can't help you either as I've never owned one. Hopefully someone who does or has will be able to advise. Have you thought about contacting the vendor and telling them about the problems you're having?

like all tank systems they can be a little temperamental ....they tend to prefer heavy PG juices to wick the best

I can't help either Judgey, as I've never owned an Imist.

Hi Judgey, I've watched the video. The wick holder is "inteference fit" the best way I found to put it back into the cone is to use a pair of long nosed pliers. When you do make sure it's pushed back in the hole hard so it will not fall out. Before you do make sure the bit of the wick holder that goes ito the tank has no sharp bits burrs or scratches that may impair the seal. Have you got a new tank? have you tried replacing it? I can fill mine to the top and it does not leak. I just took it out from the drawer and I have not used it for 2 weeks and there are no leaks. The leaking. Have you carefully inspected the little rubber grommet in the tank? Make sure it's seated properly in the tank and make sure there are no nicks or splits in it. You also need to be gentle with the wick I find that pulling it out about 1 or 2mm helps with wicking avoiding "dry hits" but this does not appear to be your problem at the moment. As your kit is faily new if the problen persists then contact your vendor and explain what has happened and ask for a replacement. If this is not an option then I will send you a new tank as I have a few here. I have had a Imist since January and whilst it is not my primary atomiser the one I have performs well.

hiya mate
looking at your video i do believe your imist is faulty
where the wick goes, mine is soldered in and you cant remove it, i think that is the cause of the leak
if i was you i would get back in touch with the vendor and get a replacement, i got mine last Thursday and haven't managed to use one cartridge yet, i also did read somewhere you should never fill the tank to the top and should leave a few mm so that the air can escape
sorry i don't know too much about it but i must say i'm really impressed with my imist

where the wick goes, mine is soldered in and you cant remove it, i think that is the cause of the leak.. It's not soldered..It's a press fit like Des stated above.. It's leaking from the bungs..Another easy way to fit it is to put a fine jeweller screwdriver through the center and press it into the washer from underneath till it clicks in place.. Edit;; Thinking about it, it's actually leaking because the wick holder ain't fitted properly and it's not sealing the cartridge because the wick holder is loose..

Dont u think it would be better soldered on? Why would they not ? It comes into direct contact with the juice so needs silver solder or lead free solder which is hard to solder.. It's leaking because the wick holder is loose and not sealing your cartridge properly..Remove the cartridge put a fine screwdriver through the center from the bottom and push it in hard with the shoulder of the screwdriver..Be careful of your eyes..Then push the cartridge on and the wick holder should not move..If it moves or pops out contact the supplier..

Yes the wick holder part needs to be seated properly to form a good seal, and as I said in my earlier post make sure the grommet in the tank is not split. Do you have/tried a new tank in it Judgey?
