As the title says, really - that's what I'm looking for - I'm really not keen on buying something with batteries I have to take out and charge separately, I just want a mod I can plug in and charge up, but with oomphs (technical term!) of power. Does it exist? I've got a 100w Cool Fire TC, bt need more power - much more power Advice appreciated!

Your only option really is a Lipo powered DNA200 like the lost vape efusion or hcigar vt200 but I would imagine IT would need to be a second hand purchase as the new mods seem to be coming out with the DNA250 and they all seem to have triple 18650 configuration

I'm sure I remember correctly from our resident battery expert VapingBad that no matter how many 18650 batteries you have in your mod you will never actually be able to get over 200w. I could be completely wrong there. As Matt said built in lipo is the only way.

It all sounds a bit scary, but I'm after something to do the Cloud Beast justice, and hate separate batteries. Maybe I'll have to wait a year or so until 220w becomes the standard

Get a smoke alien kit yes it needs batteries fitting but it has usb charging that balances the batteries. Job done.

Sounds like a DNA250 to me as well with a a very large battery unless you are willing to charge it every hour Think I'll stick with my little 100w

hi Darkginger firstly why do you need 200w+? Is it because you need more than 100w or because you need more battery life? It's just that all day vaping at 100w+ even with a high mah battery is going to need regular charging or battery swaps. I believe jtc has two or three Realeaux DNA200s on the go to get through the day at his usual 100w? I used to have two 4800mah (according to the manufacturer) DNA200s and a rolo, both lipo mods would be put on charge when I walked in the door, the rolo was a 30 second battery swap. Lipo charging could be 2 hours+. In comparison my niece has a Smok Alien, she goes through 2 pairs of batteries a day at 70w. Anyways, before I blather on, why have you got the new requirements for... MORE POWER ha ha ha ha

I could be completely wrong there. As Matt said built in lipo is the only way. Depends on how many batteries, for 220 W you would need at least 3 unless you were using very low mAh (1500) very high current batteries to sustain that power level. hi Darkginger firstly why do you need 200w+? Is it because you need more than 100w or because you need more battery life? It's just that all day vaping at 100w+ even with a high mah battery is going to need regular charging or battery swaps. Anyways, before I blather on, why have you got the new requirements for... MORE POWER ha ha ha ha Times have changed, with 2 A charging a LiPo DNA 250s charging is very easy and you you hardly notice having to do it. I have a 900 mAh one and it charges in just over an hour or a few 20-30 min to up charges a day keeps it going indefinitely. I also have 3 DNA 200 (1 A charging) with the same battery and charging these is a completely different experience, I tend to just charge when flat so don't use the mod for several hours. With these a 900 mAh LiPo give me most of a day vaping around 18 ml of liquid in a nice compact pocketable mod (same type as the Evolv DNA 250 custom), IMO the only downside is you have to be able to solder to change the battery with some models. I wont be buying another 3 battery DNA, I may get a 166 (2 battery DNA 250) one as I have so many 18650s, but these are still a lot larger than a 900 mAh LiPo. (Steve a 4800 mAh LiPo would take 10 hours to charge and be massive and an unusual size, HobbyKing don't even stock one, I did find a GensAce that is 137x42x33 mm, I don't think you can have that right maybe it's a 1600 mAh)

yes VB, it was a 3s 1600mah, either way... 17w/h/1600mah/4800mah 'claimed' and from what I've read most OE 3s lipo specs are hopeful?
I still can't find a commercially available replacement of the same dimensions, 1300. Maybe possibly 1500 is the closest I could hope to fit.
tbh irrespective of the 1 hour charge time I think that the fullymax 900 lipo falls flat 50w+. whilst filling the dimensions for a compact mod and power requirements for 200w its quite lacking in operating time. Sure 20-30w it's a one charge a day mod. The battery bar is visibly whittled away 50w+ Step up to 100w and the battery bar drops rather quickly. Over that its a race.

[OFF TOPIC OP not interested in 18650s] No SteveF the 900 mAh will out perform almost all 18650s, I easily get more than a working day at 50 W, it has far lower sag than any 18650, stays under it's constant discharge rate (27 A) with a 200 and only dips 1 A below with a 250 at full blast. The only 18650 that can do these power levels are the LG 1500 mAhs (VTC5A comes close at 25 A) but they will suffer the dreaded 18650 sag so you won't be able to access a lot of that capacity. 18650s are more suited to lower power ranges if anything, the Fullymax is only a 30C LiPo you could fit a up to 90C (81 A continuous) if you wanted to go bonkers, IMO LiPos are the future of high powered vaping unless we want to carry house brick size mods. The point is vape-time vs charging-time is far batter with the 250 than the 200, night and day, and not over specing your battery allows you to get 30-100% recharge between puffs (20-70 mins) as long as you are near a power source. Just a few 20 min charges a day keeps the flat battery away, at any power level charge for 20 mins an you'll have >30% battery, 5 mins and you can get a decent vape. Yes this is no good if you are away from a power source all day at more than medium watts and 3 x 18650, a larger LiPo or more than one mod would be better then, but the OP wants built in batteries. There is no such thing as a free lunch Watt hours are What hours, vape a lot at high power you need a lot of battery power, but you get to use more of your Watt hours from LiPos than 18650s especially at high power levels.

SteveF I have 4 Rolos on the go and I find 1 will keep me going 9 or 10 hours at 100w hence 2 get used per day . I'm a chain vaper and like big flavour and clouds and tbh I can't see why anyone would want 220W.I know some people say that about me but I feel somewhere around 100 should satisfy most DTL's needs. I'm using Samsung 30Q's and VTC5's in mines and both seem to do a good job

as always a fair definitive reply from Mr VapingBad. I agree with you on the use of lipos, the discharge rating knocks 18650s out of the ball park, yada yada yada but the 900mah battery is still like having a 3 gallon tank on a Ferrari. 😆 2amp charging, hopefully it will be a good while before my DNA200s die so I guess I'll have to wait for that pleasure. jtc have to agree with you, I've cranked up the power a few times and found it fun but not satisfying. The build, the critical wicking, turning up the power and vaporising huge amounts of juice whilst trying not to incinerate your lips. Anyways, in defining the advantages we/I digress. Back to you Darkginger😅

Cheers - erm, the reason I want more power is that the Cloud Beast is - apparently - best at between 120 - 180w (but will go up to 260w!!!!). Obviously, the Cool Fire 100 TC doesn't go that high. I'm not too bothered about charging time, as I do most of my vaping sitting here at the computer, next to a power source. I have 4 Cool Fires and 5 SubVods too, so I alternate between them (I like lots of different flavours on the go), so it's not an issue if I have to wait a while for something to charge. So far, it looks like my best bet is the Smok Alien - if I can live with the separate batteries issue. I'm still digesting the rest of the advice and suggestions above, many thanks for all of them
