If it's pure VG that you have, some people dilute it to make aqueous VG (by adding 10-15% purified water*). This makes it less viscous and easier to work with. Also a warm water bath for the VG bottle helps, as does removing the needle from a syringe (if you are using them).
... But well done.... and welcome to the world of DIY!!

Most pharmacy's can get you purified water BP, it's very cheap.
90% VG 10% Purified water (i.e. 9 parts VG to 1 part purified water) or 85% VG 15% Purified water

c1booth - A great tip I read on here before is just use the syringe and not the needle for VG - very simple and very effective. Otherwise, do the rest of your mix by measuring and then "top up" with VG? EDIT - Sorry Postmodern Smoking - Just read you gave the same advice earlier

A measuring tube (cylinder) might also be helpful.

A measuring tube (cylinder) might also be helpful. do you not waste liquid or get good measurements with what stays in the cylinder

As above give the vg bottle a nice warm bath before use.

It doesn't have to be too precise

I find it takes less time and patience to get the last bit out than it does using some syringes to suck it up in the first place, that being said I have 50ml syringes that work ok but it still need a little time to fill it. I also us these www.poundland.co.uk/clear-shot-glasses-12-pack approx 50ml makes sucking it up less of a chore, it all depends on my mood at the time which I use.

Rather than make a new thread hoping I can tag onto this. Took all your recommendations from my first post and bought flavourings nicotine and base, bought the equipment including scales, syringes and bottles etc. Ready to take my first step tonight Then panic I like to MTL and DTL so I bought 2L of 50/50 and 2L of 70/30 VG/PG. All the recipes seem to have amounts of VG and PG you measure in but what if they are pre mixed? I have the ingredients and want to make this e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/161334. I'm probably missing something so obvious but am now busily scanning this forum and internet trying to find how to use pre mixed base and still unsure whether to weigh or syringe. Will do my first mix this weekend but probably not tonight.

What strength is your premix @tomo and what strength do you want your strawberry cheesecake e-liquid to be?
