Yeah they won't pull every package it's not possible for them to do it given the amount of packages so they'll just pull them at random.
If they do pull yours and it's valued at $20 you will be liable for VAT at £3'ish plus an £8 fee to Royal Mail for collecting it.

At this point there are two options, take the gamble that your package won't get pulled or open a ticket on the order when you place it and ask them to put a lower figure on it which is below the threshold for VAT which is £15.
