Another thing thebishman is having a hot shower or putting a hot towel around your face before shaving. It softens the bristles and helps stop dragging and irritating the skin

Great tip jonny. One i have tried and didnt make a difference :0( lol. Also tried the cold towel after to close the pours. Still the same. I think i jiat have sensistive i guess. Annoyingly.

thebishman - Have you ever went to a barber that does a hot towel shave ?
Most of the Turkish ones do it and a good one will give you advice on how to prevent the razor burn.

I have been using the "Shavette" for a couple of weeks, I have to say it takes a little practice but I have deffo got the hang of it now as I am sure you will agree.

I too get the fire rash buddy. I found it was the cream so I use this .

I tried growing a beard once. I didn't get far. Too blonde and people kept calling me Mr Tumnness

I find it hard to imagine that there has been 99 (now 100) replies to this Beard Oil Topic.

The last time I put oil on my beard, I was lying under a Morris Minor and it was dripping off the engine.

Thanks for the tip. Ive noted that one down.

Ive used the shavette a few times this week mainly for trimming around the edges so to speak just to test my skin with it. So far so good!
Once my fire rash has completley gone ill have a full shave and then that will prove if its solved my problem
