Can anyone with experience to this tank help me understand please ive used my pre installed Q2 0.4ohm core happily at 55w with shop bought 20/80 or 10/90 juice ive just cleaned tank and installed the T8 0.15 core at 60w and filled up with my first DIY juice Heisenberg 30/70 (steeped for a week at 15% concentrate) ita hitting my throat hard and making me cough up a lung is this because of the the juice ratio ? or the coil being lower ohms ? or or higher watts(recommended on coil) or any other ideas thanks

I would say it is a bit of both. 0.4 to a 0.15 is quite a drop ohms wise and then add in the extra 10% or 20% of the PG and boom a recipe for a hard hit in the throat.

Are all your ratios quoted as VG/PG or PG/VG? PG/VG used to be a sort of standard, but I think that a lot of shops and manufactures just put the largest number first so we don't know where we are.
But more PG will seem a little more harsh and dry you out a little more than more VG, though 5 or 10% should be hardly noticeable. It could also be the coils not significantly primed wicks, it is not ohms they don't matter with variable watts and 5 W extra power is unlikely to be an issue. I have not tried those coils it could be they like even more power.

Sorry to disagree Ross, he has only gone from 55 to 60 W, ohms don't matter on VW mods. The surface area between the 2 coils is large and at around the same power the T8 are probably running a lot cooler than the Q2 at the same power levels.

Good point I didn't think if the watts sorting things out for you. Could it just be the extra amount of pg in the home brew mix or maybe a coil that is unused?

It was pg/vg VapingBad as I thought that was standard The q2 is 1 large vertical coil wrapped in cotton recommended watts 55-65 The t8 is 4 small vertical coils wrapped in cotton recommended watts 60-80 I let new coil sit in full tank of juice for 30 mins Might just be a perfect storm of higher pg more power and to be honest the menthol in Heisenberg as we had been vaping fruity flavours

It shouldn't make that much difference IMO, it is impossible to know at a distance, but not sufficiently primed or not high enough power seem the most likely. Each coil type gives a different vape it could be the T8 @ 60 W just doesn't suit, 60 W is at the bottom of the range for T8 and probably it would be better at more power and then he may be at his nic and PG limit and have to drop those levels. c1booth You could try adding 20% VG to a tank worths of liquid.

So for a 2ml tank add .4ml vg and 1.6ml of my juice to a bottle shake up and then I've got 10/90 pg/vg near as damn it?

Menthol always gives me extra throat hit. Good point, maybe more of an effect than the PG or Nic levels and with all 3 combined could just be time to reduce ratios to compensate for inhaling more volume at higher power.
