How bad would a battery be before you dont use it?

I bought an efest battery last week on amazon, ive put it in and out of my mod a few times and theres a few chincks on the edge of the top and bottom. I had to rip a very small bit off the positive end but its still wrapped up to the top if that makes sense?
I find it very poor quality after using samsung for a good while its a 18650 job, thing is it says on the side if its damaged not to use. Bloody thing cost £8 i dont want to throw it away if its good to use but i dont want it blowing up in my face :-D

If neccessary nottmlad Ive got 18650 pre cut shrinkwrap and will send you a couple along with the insulators at the top of the battery

You probably should get yourself some re-wraps, which would set your mind at rest and be safer.

Sounds easy but it took me a while to suss it as i only use mobile version

A quick search and there are a number of Youtube video's out there..... here is one:



I haven't (yet) needed to rewrap myself, so I'm unsure whether, or not, a hair drier is also hot enough to shrink the wrap.

Well worth rewrapping to be safe... they'll only get worse.
Also, be gentle taking in/out of your mod!

Thanks, ill order some in the morning ive just noticed my samsung is looking similar ffs only got these two batteries at the minute so i will try and get them wrapped before they explode lol.
