60th Birthday

My husband will be 60 in May and I am currently researching short breaks to either Paris or New York as they are the top 2 destinations on his bucket list. Whether we will actually be able to afford the trip is another matter as we have several potential pot holes to be navigated before then but we've set it as a target to aim for and hopefully get to go to one of them "sometime" this year if not in May.

Tsk Tsk tsoko, I took early retirement at 50 and now, at 70, I'm still trying to get used to it. I'll just keep working at it and let you youngsters know how I get on.

hehe - yeah, it is quite a change from the daily "9 to 5 work" grind, isn't it? I've been out of work for about 6 or so years. I reckon I could get use to it!

For my 60th (still a little while to go) I reckon I wanna screw the government for a "seniors card". Around here, it sorta gives a few discounts on some goods and services (mainly govt provided). I wanna try get back some of that moola they've extracted from me over the years....

So am I tsoko and have been for over 30 years. So while a Mexican Beach sounds good, you are more likely to find me "doon the waatter" on some Clyde Coast Beach amidst all the other tidal rubbish that our glorious river produces.
