Hey all,

So ive been playing with the nextasis for a few days building is not a problem but im experiencing the odd dry hit with the open deck on.

Am I using to much mesh? any tips on mesh would be appreciated thanks.

I'm not familiar with the Nextasis but I'm having a great experience with mesh in a Le Zephyr clone.
I use the Qorax mesh wick preparation method.

Edit: Just researched the Nextasis and the mesh seems to wrapped round a central post, so Qorax method probably not appropriate.

I had similar issues with mine, closed deck worked straight off with the same mesh roll in it.
What size mesh you using?

I've tried more I've tried less seems weird that's its completely open and still dry hitting must have to be exact with wick dimensions??

Sorry I meant grill size like 200, 400 etc.

Try 325 mesh and a 200SF mesh topper wrap (above the point where it goes through the deck.)

Don't know if you are on Facebook but the VWM group has a thread specifically for builds on the Nextasis. Builds vary. I have exeprienced the same as you, my second attempt as above was certainly better than my first wick made entirely of 200SF mesh. Can't turn the power up over 18-20w without getting a dry hit if I chain vape. I need to experiment more.
