OSdiy - Lucky Shot

Evening each,

I've got Lucky Shot by OSdiy on order from Chef's.

Chef's website suggests mix at 10%. I've done a Google search and results, going back as far as 2014, have been as far apart as 3% and 15% (stand alone)

Appreciating the old, and correct, chestnut of "taste being subjective" - has anyone else mixed this one up and how did you find it?

PS - A guy on Chef's FB yesterday was extolling the virtues of OSdiy Yum cake at 10% and Lucky shot at 7.5%

I have this mixed up at 12% all vg base. I jumped straight in the graham cracker is the forefront flavour I'm sure it will dull down as I wait for the caramels should do another mix really one slightly lower one slightly higher...

Haven't mixed mine yet, but on the lick test  . . . . I'll start at 15% and take it from there.

( Chefs suggest starting at 10% on the bottles - I know my tastes! )

You won't have the patience I know ghostrider1971 - but making small samples at varying ratios, giving them time to steep is really the only way to find out what suits you best, with any flavour.

As a standalone......and for my tastes....... I find Lucky Shot bang on at 10%

And Ella's Gold Rush recipe is a good one........ she's building on the Lucky Shot with cream, caramel and Calpitter chow....... and the butterscotch ripple adds some raspberry too.

You may or may not notice it depending on how shot your taste buds are

Nice strong flavour, comes through even more after a short steep (7-10 days).

It's beautiful........... but next time I'd use slightly less Lotta Latte in it...... 7% or 8%

Again... taste is subjective, ymmv, the value of your home can go down as well as up...........
