Some of you know that I have recently upgraded my set-up, going from VSII batts and cartos to a Plato and a Pico. We're all getting on famously but I do have 3 questions. 1) On average, how long will the Nautilus/NautX coils last? The old Kanger (then Boge, yuck!) cartos needed changing every 4-5 days and I've read that people change these coils every couple weeks (or more). Is that so? Really? A couple of weeks?? 2) I've got my juice from the same place ever since Vape Escape shut it's doors (sad, sad day) and it's 70/30. Whilst researching for my new kit I ran across several sites/vids that said 60/40 or even 50/50 was best. Is this correct or just a matter of taste? 3) My juice(s) of choice is simply RY4 to which I like to add a few drops of menthol. This wasn't an issue with the old cartos, it was 10 drops of RY4 and 2 of menthol to top up. With the tanks on the Plato and a Nautilus X 4ml on the Pico, I don't want to be counting drops, lol, so thought about pre-mixing in say a 50ml bottle. Will it stay 'mixed' in the bottle or does it 'separate', do the 2 flavours blend or no? I do hit times when vaping when it's a bit more tobacco or a bit more menthol but nothing too bad, but then the box is getting jostled around just using it. Thank you

1: depends on how much you vape really. 2: whatever suits unless its very vg heavy it may struggle to wick then. 3:yes it will be fine to mix up a large amount

I use Aspire Nautilus 5ml tanks, so not quite the same but close enough. I also keep strict records of the life of the coils and the mixes that go through them. When I was using a 50/50 mix, I was getting an average coil life of about 10 days. I am now on a 75PG/25AVG mix and the coil life is an average of 16 days. I am, these days, vaping on 3 different tanks. A Royal Tobacco mix that is my all day basic. Occasionally in the evenings I will vape a fruit e-juice and last thing at night I am on a Menthol/Spearmint mix.
The Fruit e-juices and the Minth are made up in 30ml lots and that will last for ages because of the small amounts that I use. The Royal Tobacco e-juice is made up into 2 X 100ml bottles which last me a couple of months at a time. Whilst I do enjoy mixing, it is not a hobby but more a necessity as and when I need to.

Mrs striker has vaped nothing but Cuban supreme from FA for three years. About a year back she took to adding a drop of menthol to it. For her plato she'll add 10 drops of menthol to a 50ml bottle for easy filling of the device. A coil lasts her 2/3 weeks with 50/50 juice.

From your recent posts re: my upgrading, sounds as if Mrs striker and myself are similar style/taste vapers!

One thing I must point out is that I don't use 100% VG. I water this down with Distilled Water at the rate of 20% Dist Water to 80%VG.
