Fasttech order advice, please

Hi guys,

I've just made my second ever Fasttech order a few days back.

1) GS Air tank, 2) GS Air Coils 3) Kabuki Clone

Just checked online to see if the order has been processed/dispatached and the GS Air Tank is now showing as "ships on 25/2" whereas the other 2 items are "ships next day".

I have a horrible feeling the answer to this question is going to be "yes", but does FT wait for all items to be "in stock" before sending?

Also, reading a few stories about slipping dates, is that date of 25/2 going to be realistic?

Any suggestions of how to proceed?

I've always had good service from them tbh but I wouldn't take that date as gospel. I'd keep an eye on it and if you feel you can't wait anymore then just get a refund

jtc - Will it delay the rest of the order or will the other 2 items be sent separately?

It's one of the reasons I've kind of shied away from FT and the like.....

Erm I'm not sure on that. I don't think so from what I remember but others can probably confirm/correct me

IME they will wait for the whole order to be available for a while, but if the wait is extended they do break orders into two shipments.

To add if the important part of the order is being held up then why not cancel the unavailable item and order it separetely?

Yes, you don't want to be waiting 12 days for a tank.

Cancel, re-order and split as necessary.

If it was me, I'd order the Kabuki separately and also pay the $1.80 e-thing.

I once decided to sit on an order and it drove me crazy. A week after watching it, they moved the expected day another week into the future.
I cancel 100% of items that are not showing in stock or ready to ship.

Now and again they tell me they have split it already and that's OK.

If one part of the order is delayed you can raise a ticket and ask for the order to be split, I've done that a few times.

But sometimes you dont need to, part of the order I'm currently waiting for suddenly stated 'ships in 7 days', I was just about to split it but it shipped the next day.

As has been stated before, unless you are really needing something (in which case you're better off ordering from UK) you are best to Order, then Forget.

I am now doing this more and more. I'd like a Kabuki clone and coils, but they can jolly well come separately if Mr Jobsworth is gonna start slapping me with excess charges for being 50p over the limit.

6 days with express Epacket and I asked them to mark it as 15 dollars which they kindly did. One of the items was holding the packing up so I just cancelled the bloody thing and grabbed a gift certificate to nab them when they're back in.
