Show us your dregs . . . . .

Despite having an unhealthy ( to my bank balance! ) shopping passion for all things vaping related - especially on the DIY front, I'm not actually a wasteful person. I hate throwing anything out if it can be used . . . . even if not by me.

So, I had a few bottles of largely home brew hanging around which I'd tired of, got bored with the flavour and seeing the bottles in my steeping cupboard. Some as you can see from the colour have been in there for a couple of years . . . . .






They now look like this.





Tastes rather nice on the lick test, but I think I'll divvy up the volume and make some individual mixes adding:

Apple Pie
Caramel
Rhubarb
Strawberry
Gingerbread


Waste not, want not.

Lol . . . . I only mix teeny weeny volumes really so by and large I do Postmodern Smoking as I've a bit of a thing about having too many open bottles on the go at one time.

Can't stand that!

It's the boredom threshold that sees me off and today all those bottles got right on my nerves when I opened the cupboard - so they had to go!

To be replaced by more bottles tomorrow.

I have thrown quite a few now, I used to keep all the failed mixes thinking I'd add something to them to make them vapeable but as all my dregs were in 10ml samples it didn't hurt quite so much sinking them all. I now only have one dregs bottle and it is only for fruit mixes, its a 50ml and it is nearly full right now, I had a vape from it the other week and it wasn't that unvapeable but I think I will draw some off and add plain VG as it seemed a tad potent.

I'm trying really hard to rein myself in concentrate buying wise and now have very long wish lists in both Chefs and E-Cig shops but I am not pushing the button on either of them unless a bargainous dissy code comes out as I have far too many to get through already

The only thing I really DO need to buy is some menthol so I can add a touch to future failed mixes, I have several mints but they don't seem to blend so well so even though I am not a menthol lover I can do some light variations I think.

Proud of you Perpetua to have not binned them after all this time, I do sometimes regret what I've thrown but the half bottles just got on my nerves in the end.

I got 22 "empty" bottles back from a guy I mix for, they all contained dregs. Another friend is not real fussy about flavours, she got a 40ml freebie!

I did try it, it wasn't bad....

Hmmm I made a Gingercake and custard test last September and it was never any good tbh. So I tried it last week and bam it was actually quite nice. Not really Jamaican ginger cake but very Vapable.
I'm also trying to behave when it comes to buying like you TJ and I've been through so many failures and tipped lots down the drain.ive been doing 30ml testers but I think even that's risky so I think I'll drop to 10 or 20ml . I'm finding there's very few recipes I actually want to make again and I'm running out of things to make lol.What I do like I can go forever with now so I ain't too bothered but I'm still looking to add a few more to the menu.I don't keep many dregs though as I like and vape or just chuck things away mostly. I do tweak things if there's potential and try again though

I have a 100ml bottle marked rubbish and in it is all my failed fruit juices. Actually it tastes okay although I haven't a clue how I managed that.
I do however have an atty that I can just put a couple of ml in and it works like a drip tip. I use the rubbish stuff in that when I am hiding in the shed, escaping from housework.

I've heard of this being done before - they also reported it vaped OK and certainly better than the source juices. I also remember they coined a name of "death grog" for the resultant sludge  ....

I don't like waste either, I threw all my single tester fruits and some fruity blends into a large bottle and topped up with 50% VG (most were stronger nicotine AND flavour than I vape nowadays) Its now a very pleasant cocktail.

I've done the same with my custards and cake/doughnuts and its turned out into a vapable cakey custard
