Newbie coiling guide?

Hi guys,

Does anyone have or would anyone be willing to create a coiling guide for complete newbies, please?

I've watched a few videos on You Tube but am looking for something literally "ABC" simple (types of cotton, types of wire, number of twists etc etc)

I've bought a few pre-made Aspire coils and have also got some 1.0 ohm premade on order from FT.

I've got a rebuildable "thingy" for my Cleito and TFV8 but am feeling a bit anxious about taking the plunge.....

If anyone can recommend a super basic guide, I would be very grateful

Are the cliteo/tfv8 rbas for dual coils?.
Id suggest keeping it simple & trying a single coil tank or rba first to get a feel for it.

Nothing really to it if you're just talking normal round wire single strand builds.
Just get yourself a Coil jig.

Nice long poles and various sizes up to 4mm diameter.

Dead simple just poke your wire through the hole and turn the cap until you have the desired number of wraps.
Use Steam engine to determine how many wraps you need to get the resistance you want.

What kind of vape you looking for lung hit or mouth to lung?

Get Off My Cloud - The biggest thing for me is good flavour - I'm not too worried about clouds - I'm very predominantly MTL - in an ideal world, slightly more airy than a nautilus but less than a Cleito

Kayfun mini V3 is amazing for flavor and fairly easy to build and wick. There are some very good clones available ghostrider1971.
You can also find some build tutorials on YouTube to help you with it.

Goblin Mini V3 might suit, not a proper mouth to lung tank but also not a fully wide open lung tank either, you can close down the airflow to tighten the draw up.
The flavour is great with it being a stubby tank and it comes with two interchangeable decks one single coil and one dual coil.
You can buy an extension separately for the tank too to increase tank capacity from 2ml to 4ml if you want.

You might also like the Merlin, it works best as a single coil tank but you can dual coil it if you stack one coil above the other, it uses velocity style posts so easy to build on.
Again it's another tank that has a restrictive lung hit when fully open but it does come with an adapter plug installed which restricts the airflow down for MTL vaping.
Another one i think is great flavour for a single coil job.
As i said the adapter comes already installed for MTL you'll see it when you take the base off it's a screw in adapter that screws into the airflow hole on the deck, if you want a more open airflow just unscrew it and take it out.

Agree with a lot of the recommendations but if you like mtl but want a bit more air on a single coil I would also recommend..
Rose v3  - awesome juice and air control and post less deck 
Kayfun v5  - single coil and options like the Rose to sub or mtl.

Just a heads up.

According to some reports, the Merlin RTA has a definite lifespan. (I have two b.t.w) - as the base is press fit and eventually gets messed up.

There are folk who have already retired some/all to the vape bin.

My opinion of the Kayfun v5 (clone) is not very much. It's not as solid a bet as some of the earlier ones (they're no good for power vaping mind you) although the top fill is a massive bonus.

I just had a look at the "deck" (is that right?) for the Cleito - it is absolutely minuscule - managed to finally drag some cotton through the pre-fitted coils, but pushing it down? Seriously? Where?!

I think I need a rebuildable the size of a football pitch

I'm a big fan of single coil attys, some of my faves are:

FIrebird. Simple build, great flavour.

Kayfun 3

GT-T V2. Similar deck to Firebird.

There are many others, The Hurricane, Geekvape Ammit, Flash e-vape, even the Kangertech Subtank has a single coil RBA.
