Hi. I'm checking for my own peace of mind.... 100ml of VG, 72mg Nic (7.2%), I'm aiming for 14(ish)mg. 2ml of nic at 7.2% is correct?
I'm actually mixing different quantities, but want to make sure I've got the right ballpark figure!!

1.94ml of 72mg (7.2%) to 10ml of Base?? In every 10ml of eliquid that you make will require 1.94ml of 72mg/ml nicotine, this will make 14mg/ml eliquid. (The other 8.06ml will comprise of diluents such as VG, PG and flavouring) or, if you want to round things up 2ml of 72mg/ml nic + 8ml diluents = 10ml of 14.4mg/ml e-liquid.

Thanks guys, got it now! I'm making up: 200ml Boots VG + 40ml 72mg nic (240ml Base) + Flavouring at 20%, so 50ml. I'm aiming between 12mg to 15mg strength. I've been trying lower nic% for the last week or so (basically adding more VG + Flavouring) by "cutting" a bought in juice. I have been Vaping at around 15/16 mg fora year or so, and am aiming to slowly reduce my nic content. I keep reading that self mixed juice at a known Nic% "seems" to have less Nic hit than "Shop bought" at the same%. Any truth in this as an experience?

Incidentally, I often dilute juice with VG and flavour (stuff I've already made a big bottle of) and don't notice lowering in Nicotine strength. I have bottle upstairs which can't possibly by more than 2mg and it started at 6mg.

"200ml Boots VG + 40ml 72mg nic (240ml Base) + Flavouring at 20%, so 50ml"
according to my quick calc gives a result with more like 10mg/ml in the finished product. A tad lower than your target 12mg to 15mg strength.
I could be wrong.

Thanks guys, got it now! I'm making up: 200ml Boots VG + 40ml 72mg nic (240ml Base) + Flavouring at 20%, so 50ml. That works out at 9.9mg/ml nic strength e-liquid (where Nicotine Base 2 is your VG and Nicotine Base 3 is your flavour)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [ETA] - 50ml of 72mg/ml nic would give you 12mg/ml eliquid: (where Nicotine Base 2 is your VG and Nicotine Base 3 is your flavour)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [ETA2] - 66ml of 72mg/ml nic would give you 15mg/ml eliquid: (where Nicotine Base 2 is your VG and Nicotine Base 3 is your flavour)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So you're looking at 50ml to 66ml of 72mg/ml nic + 200ml VG + 50ml flavour for 12-15mg/ml eliquid

This sounds like mixing up just under 300 ml of liquid to me. (200+40+50)
If you were deliberately looking to make 290 ml of 14mg liquid it would look like this;
Nicotine base 72mg (PG) 56.39 Flavor 1 (PG) 58.00 VG 174.42 PG 1.19 Sum 290.00
Since you are not intending to use any extra PG, you can ignore the "PG 1.19ml" as the calculator just throws that in there.
14.4mg liquid ought to be an easy check, because you need 20% Nicotine base and 20% flavour.
So, a 100ml mix using 20% + 20% and filling up with VG would be this
Nicotine base (PG) 20.00 Flavor 1 (PG) 20.00 VG 60.00 Sum 100.00

I'm not too worried about the exact Nic content, I just didn't want to be under, or over, by a factor of 10!! If I'm not getting enough Nic hit I'll just add a couple of ml Nic more per 10ml. I'm fairly sure I have lessened my Nic by adding VG and extra Flavouring to 200ml of a Shop Bought Juice. I'd prefer to be slightly under than over!
