I was wondering what decent, affordable mods are out now. Me and the Mr have been running our kf5 on a few of the evic minis of various editions but most of them are now giving problems with the 510 or the magnets which have been glued so many times there is now nothing to glue them too! I've also been been vaping exclusively on Evic VTCs for sometime now... I know exactly how you feel re. the little magnets! I've glued and re-glued mine numerous times ! ..... You are not alone!

Oh my, that is an incredible price, again another mod I used to have interest in! I've been using their Executive v5 since last August, can't fault it tbh, paid the same for that. A guy in work got himself one of the Minis, very nice it is too....even if it ends up as a backup device, well worth £13-odd .... .....in fact, can I justify another mod

That link i posted, it also comes bundled with a battery and you get an 18650 sleeve with it so you can use those as well.

I don't know about the 18650 dna75, ok you get a chance to play with escribe if you use TC and it is silky smooth. But is it actually worth double? the cost of any other single 18650 mod if you don't 'TC'? The battery meter is'dumb' unlike the DNA200 so really the handy battery management is not there and it soft cuts, limits or even displays low battery purely on voltage sag. My older 25Rs and 30Qs whilst working fine on an evic mini fell flat with the DNA75. So far an istick40 tc has been the least troublesome and most reliable little mod I've had DNAs included. Downsides are that TC is a bit limited with the fixed 40w power and it has a fixed lipo. I'd consider a fixed lipo mod like the COV if it is fast charging and reliable. If the evic worked for you, probably suggest a Pico, essentially the same board? i agree with most of what your saying about the dna chip but i didnt have a prob running mine on 25r or vt4 batts as long as i didnt run it at silly power and as she is useing kf5 i cant see it being any diff to most mods i do agree that the tc is night and day to just about any mod ive used in tc but i think the normall watts seems less rattle snake like than my rx ect mrs mac why not get all 3 diff mods elcheapo for work middle of road for nights out ect(not end of world if left in taxi) and yer ruddy exspencive baby for at home lol

I have a vt-inbox, the BF rda that came with it definitely needed more than 15w. Dual coils at 40w are far from unreasonable but offsetting resistance against coil mass ect ect performance was limited Essentially the voltage drop on the old Samsungs was too much for board to give any decent operation time. New vct5s no problem.. yet. So older batteries might trigger power limiting. My thoughts are that perhaps even moderately used 30Qs, brown LGs? would have a noticeable drop if pushed 15A with perhaps a relatively high TC preheat? Perhaps the DNA75 is too finely tuned without a smart battery meter. I use the vct5s at a midrange 30w until the battery bar starts to show slow voltage recovery.
Anyway, I wouldn't expect fireworks and a matching band simply because it is a DNA. I'd recommend spending a few extra quid on a compact mainstream 900mah lipo 200/250 mod.
