Found here on githubBeing Linux based, I can't upgrade my Pico. Searching revealed the tools above, which claim to support the Pico and a number of other devices, freeing me from the need to use Windoze or Crapple. Has anybody here tired it out? Does it work? Will it fry my beloved Pico?

Sorry IDK I got rid of my EVic, I guess it is just what's on the JoyeTec page, there is a group trying to copy EScribe type functionality for JoyeTec/Wismec devices nfeteam.org/ IDK if thy have anything for the Pico. ETA they do, but I don't see anything about crapple or linux, but not looked closely.

Sorry, I answered the wrong question. Looking at GitHub seems at the very early stages ATM, it may work or work with issues, but consider it experimental with a chance of bricking your device, IDK if the JoyeTecs can be recovered from a bad update like the Evolv boards can.

Chances are it would need a fair bit of work to do that though.

Looks like my best bet is the python route then. I'll do it from my laptop when I've plucked up the courage as it is running a more up to date distro of Fedora.

Sorry for being slightly offtopic, but just wanted to say thanks to VapingBad for posting the link to the NFE Team page I downloaded and flashed it earlier while sat here in work. The app is really good and allows a lot of customization for my lowly istick pico (much easier than trying to use the buttons and menus on the mod too)
