Please don't think I'm being negative about this petition because I promise you that I'm not car147 . . . . . the TPD and all that it involves, is a detestable and ridiculous piece of EU legislation for me, as much as the next person who is against it.

However, what would the alternatives be if it were repealed at some future point - our habit wouldn't be restored ( I don't believe ) to what it was prior to this implementation as vaping has become too high profile to simply disappear into obscurity.

The real possibility I guess is that ecigs could get classed as a medicinal product . . . . . which would leave current and potential new vapers in an even worse situation.

It's just my personal opinion of course - but I think we have to be careful what we wish for, regrettably.

Truly . . . . there's no need for that unless you expressly wish it car147, I suspect this petition will crop up at some point - which I'm not against as such.

It's what the alternatives to the TPD are that need careful consideration I would respectfully suggest to everyone.

Keeping the thread open does give people the opportunity to air their views on the subject from all perspectives which can only be a good thing?
