Ah, OK. Thank you both. How can you tell when you're buying your ecig what vg level it'll take?? All seemed so simple Wentnor article said get over 2ohm and high vg juice, but it really isn't!! The Evod kit i linked to which uses 2.2ohm or 2.5ohm coils like i said previously is kind of old tech now, we're only talking a couple of years ago but things move fast. The coils use a silica wick and the channels for the eliquid to the wick are really small hence why you need a a runnier liquid to feed the wick well enough to avoid a dry hit. Most of the more up to date tanks use coils which have a cotton wick and larger feeding holes which allows them to work with pretty much any percentage of VG you like but they don't come with coils which have a high resistance like 2.5ohm. Around 1.8ohm or 2.0ohm is the highest sort of resistance you'll find with that kind of coil. You seemed pretty set on having a kit with a resistance rating above 2ohm but that is going to mean compromising and having a lower VG content liquid. These are the kind of coils that come with the Evod kit. You have a horizontal coil inside and a single strand of silica rope that goes through the middle and sticks out a little on either side. The Innokin Endura kit which i linked to in my first post has coils like this. Still horizontal coils but a couple of them and this time they are wicked with cotton which soaks up VG easier and you have multiple holes for the liquid to soak in to as well and they are larger. The Endura will be fine with 70/30 VG/PG and i honestly think that would be the better option but 2.0ohm is the highest resistance coil you can get. I don't honestly see the 2.0ohm coil of the Endura being any harsher than the 2.5ohm coil of the Evod really and you will be able to use a higher VG with the Endura and that i think will make a marked difference and be less harsh. Of the two options i really think the Endura is going to be kinder on the throat with a VG percentage of up to 70% I would still go with 12mg nicotine too.

My Mrs got off smoking with the t18 endura coils. You could always try having a vape with just glycerin watered down slightly. I've also noticed a lot of new vapers trying them for the first times suck on the tip like they're trying to suck a pea up a straw. Just use it like you'd draw on a normal cig.

Wow. Thanks so much for all the time you've taken to give me all this advice! I really appreciate it. I will take your advice and go with the newer one with lower ohm but able to take higher vg and stick to 12mg nicotine. Off to order now! Thanks so much to all on here who've helped. I will bear in mind the tips given for technique when it comes too. Thanks again

You're not the only one on here to give such advice, but that's the best description of what I might be doing I've heard! It's entirely possible I have indeed been trying to suck a pea up a straw! I will make sure when my t18 comes I cease that!! Thank you!

My Mrs used to drip a drop in every hole on it before putting the coil in the tank, then filling it up and let it stand for a few minutes. She tried a Nautilus tank as well but always went for the T18 till she got a kayfun.

Be gentle at first, ecig "mouth to lung"(MTL) style vaping is usually a long slow draw into the mouth then take what you want down deeper. It's slightly different to smoking in style and as said above, may take a bit of time/experimentation.
