(Sorry - not sure if this should go in shopping!) Hi guys, I'm still having fun with my OBS Nano's as an introduction to RTA's and coil building - all good fun so far I keep reading reviews on the Griffin 25 - 6ml capacity and single coil build. It seems to get a lot of good reviews, but was wondering what people on here think of it? Is it fairly "idiot proof" to build on? Good flavour? Lack of leaks? Any advice much appreciated

It can leak but get the wick right they are a great tank just fluff the wick over the holes and poke down gently not too far. mine seem to work well i dont even shut the airflow when filling just fill tighten to resistance on the o'ring then flip upside down and tighten fully. took a while to get a nice set up but a doddle to do 9 times outta 10 no issues. ps i love my engines and griffins, both are my goto tanks when i am not squonking.

I've been a fan of the Geekvape stable since the Griffin 22mm came out about 18 months ago. I recently got a Griffin 25mm after dropping one of my Griffin Eagles, and it performs really well. As colli says above, wicking can take a few goes to get right, but apart from that they are rock solid. I can't comment about single coil builds, as I have a couple of Claptons in mine, but i would have thought that it would be just as easy!

I bought a Griffin 25 after having enjoyed the vape from the 22mm. Having taken delivery of the 25, I embarked on a 48 hour period of, swearing, hair pulling, ranting, object throwing and in general, unruly behaviour before selling it.

striker42 - I've had similar emotions with something as "simple" as the Nano What caused the frustrations with the Griffin?

striker42 - I've had similar emotions with something as "simple" as the Nano What caused the frustrations with the Griffin? My biggest nightmare was wicking. Tried a few different coils in it, but the inevitable leaking always occurred. The biggest cause for a tantrum us when you get it built and filled, think you've nailed it and quarter of a tank later your back to using your fav juice as hand cream. I also found that the flavour was poor compared to the 22mm unless it had silly coils at 100w + in there. But even at that it still leaked. I now use a Griffin 22mm and three ijoy Exo RTA tanks on a daily basis, leak free.

Then again with your habit of twatting things with a hammer if they don't work right the first time I'm not bloody surprised haha I don't bother tucking he wicks into the holes I just fluff em up and lay them across and the capillary action does the rest and they keep up with chain vaping.

The only reason the 25 never went under the hammer was I knew someone wanted it if I didn't like it. Otherwise it would have been flat packed.

See ya bad tempered sod Don't think they'd be any good with smaller diameter coils though as that might be why I haven't had any trouble as I can get a bit of wick through them to suck up the juice.

Exo RTA's are working well, 6ml capacity, I'll happily stick with them.
