Hi there. I'm looking to upgrade my system. I've been vaping for nearly 3 years and I'm a bit behind the times. I wonder if you experienced and expert vapers can offer me some advice.
I'm using a kangertech at the moment (20v Eleaf battery). Vaping 18mg (70pg) on a 1.5ohm at 8.8w/4.0v. I'm looking to up my game as I've been doing this for 3 years now. I want to lower my nic and continue mouth to long. When I drop my ohm coil it's not nice in flavour and is very bitter and isn't a pleasant vape.
I've down sized on nic with some juice (40pg) and lowered my coil to 0.5ohm at 6mg (yoggs) and 30w Eleaf battery. Vaping at around 18w (but small display shows 2.9v??) but again I get a small throat hit but sometimes a bitter coil' type taste.
I'm looking to change my whole set up and juices so that I get a throat hit but reduce my nic to 6 or 12 (3-6mg being preferable) I like some TH not fussed about clouds and flavour favs tend to be fruity and preferences to water melon, rhubarb and the less sickly Ines perhaps.
Can you advise me of options that would be suitable based on the above, mod, coils, ohms and juice versions please or what you feel maybe a possible option/s to try. To me it's the maths of V/W/Ohms/nic/mods that I can't seem to find the 'happy place' and would really appreciate your expert opinions
I really like the box mods and smok seems to look good but would it be a recommendation? How should I move up to the next stage in vaping, subohm' and mods
Thank you so much

Hi k8 I certainly claim no expertise, but maybe a Pico 75w and an Aspire Cleito tank might be a reasonably good set up. You can pick up a Cleito for about 9 quid in the sales at the moment (Absolute bargain....) - coils are 0.2 and 0.4. I use the 0.4 with a wattage range of about 30-40 on 6mg homemade juce. Otherwise, are you in to own coil building or does that appeal?

If you want throat hit, you need a much higher pg ratio, 70% vg wont give you any. Theres nothing wrong with isticks, do you want any new device to have inbuilt batteries or are you moving over to changeable ones? Personally i get TH with 9mg, 80% pg juice, between 7 and 9 watts on protanks/aerotanks, and silica wick. Tried cotton but finds it naturally mutes throat hit, somethinv else to bear in mind

The Pico is good. I got mine from Fasttech in 8days. Then I got another lol!! I use it for MTL not sub ohming. You can use the Triton coils. I still use 50/50 mostly but it's fine with 40/60 too.

Smok seems to be all about high power vaping. So - I recommend anything but Smok. If it was me, I'd buy the Pico kit with the Melo III tank and install the 0.75ohm Eleaf ECML atomizers. You can get them for about £1.20 each from Fasttech (if you know how that works).... Shut down the airflow and find a slim drip tip. Up to you, of course, but last time I looked Eleaf coils were £10.99 in the UK. £6.04 from China. They last a long time. I just swapped one out (just 2 minutes ago) that did 80ml of liquid. 80ml!! Epic.

if your lucky you might find an egrip2 cheap before the dreaded tpd thingy I got my mum one dirt cheap thanks to this place and she loves it she only uses the mtl coils and the dtl coils look like they might be spitty buggers as you said best mod hehe with out going daft the dna 75 is rather good and reasonably cheap but if you hang off a wee bit there is a new fancy version coming out so the old version should get cheaper gearbest sell a few mods with the dna chip for around 50 quid but youll need a 18650 batt as for a tank I think someone in yer family might have a few you can try

I am unable to advise Kate as, although I come on here every day, I have settled in to a rut regarding my vaping, so I have ended up not seeing the wood for the trees. That is why Kate has come here to get the advise from all of you lovely members.........cos it`s no good asking Dad, he wont know.
