What's your thoughts on coil diameter and flavour larger diameter = better flavour or smaller = better flavour I'd like to here your thoughts on this one.

Depends on the tank. The smaller the airflow inlet hole on the deck the smaller the coil i don't care how much room there is on the deck. I position the coil as low down to the airflow hole as possible and if the airflow can't easily pass round the sides of the coil you get a restricted draw and it's pants for my style of vape, i like a nice smooth steady draw.

Iv goto admit iv had no success at all with coils over 2.5mm all I end up doing is using more W thus battery life is crap and no extra flavour so tbh I cannot see the point at all in using large diameter coils or am I missing something?

3mm coils in everything i use. Larger i.d allows for more wicking..which gives more surface area..which give more flavour. Imo of course.

I mainly use mech squonkers now and i get best flavour from a 2.5mm coil tried 3mm and the flavour drops off a bit, mainly a hadaly or wasp nano rda so fairly small air holes.

Must admit I now use 3mm in everything like thebishman - I instinctively know how much wick to use, the extra .5mm means I can see what I'm doing more easily, and I get good results with every type of coil. I have a good supply of ready charged batteries so the extra bit of power consumption isn't a worry for me

I use mostly 3mm but if you are using pure mech the smaller diameter gives a faster ramp up time and a little more battery life.
