Can you buy this from the chemist? ???

boots sell 200ml bottles for 99p in cough medicine section. labeled as glycerine.

??? I have bought VG from them, how do I know if it is PG?V if it is labelled as Glycerine?

I dont know it is PG.
I do know that they sell glycerine which is used in mixing.
Im sure someone will be along with far more knowledge than me in a mo.

I think I remember reading somewhere on here that you can get PG (Propylene glycol) from the chemist but they might have to order it in. I think the glycerine is the VG, more readily available.

ETA I'm still quite new to this so may be wrong!

In Finland there are some chemical manuafacturers that sell it under the name of
PR0085 ≥99,5% 1,2-Propylene glycol, extra pure, Ph Eur, BP, USP
PR0088 ≥99,5% 1,2-Propylene glycol, reagent grade, Reag. Ph Eur
it is also sold at Pharmacy's (mostly you need to order it thou)..

One thing to keep in mind, not all Pharmacists like the idea of Vaping...
So you might want to say you're using it for cigarillo humidor.

Most humidifying elements are passive, releasing stored humidity through evaporation and diffusion. The use of a 50/50 solution of propylene glycol and distilled water is recommended for replenishing the passive humidifying element as it has a buffer effect on air humidity, maintaining it at approximately 70%. Retailers and manufacturers claim it also has mild antifungal and antibacterial properties. In lack of propylene glycol, distilled water should be used, due to its lack of minerals, additives,, or bacteria which keeps the contents neutral and healthy.

I use myself the stuff from HC.. But their postals are too harsh so I need to look for alternative.. Their VG is the best, it's so thick I can turn the bottle upside down and it will take a moment before it pours out. It's almost pure.

VG is Glycerol commonly called glycerine..This is found in the cough and cold remedies shelf at Boots.

PEG is Polyethylene Glycol-PEG400 phrama grade is also used in some e-juices and is best for flavour..

If you want PG to dilute Healthcabin do 115ml for about £2.00 or for bigger quantity try link below:

No macca, I do not want PEG, that has traces of Poly ethelyn glycol which has traces of poison in it.

PEG400 is poly ethylene glycol and is used in a lot of drugs..It's not a poison as far as I am aware..

I don't think you can get PG at a chemist and I only know of sources online. However I have read somewhere that you can get it in through Boots..Lloyds Pharma seem to do it on prescription only..
