Just got a wee package through from China and found that the Visions I ordered are 2.5-2.9 ohm. Will these be okay on my Riva 1100 batteries?

They'll work just fine but you may find that the throat hit will be a little weak compared to lower resistance types

Thanks Blakey. I usually use standard res, but must have clicked the wrong button in my shopping delirium Have never tried the low res - are they okay for the Riva too?

If you go no lower than 2ohms resistance then they'll be fine on the riva. Problems arise when you go down to 1.6ohm and below because the power drain burns the switch out

Yes mate it does, however - in saying that, I used 1.6ohm DCs with my rivas for about 5-6 months and they've' never had a problem, the battery's are still going strong. Many others though have had their switches burnt out. I can't recommend their usage on a riva for that reason but it doesn't stop me from using them

I prefer the SR Visions when using a Riva Battery. Personally, I find the 4.2V is too much for the LR. But a lot depends on how dead your taste buds are I suppose
