Please may I check with you guys if my understanding is correct?
VG is thicker and makes more clouds PG is runny and gives more flavour
Any coils below 1 ohm and you should use higher VG
Coils above 1 ohm and you should use less VG
E.g 0.5 ohm coil - 70% VG or higher
1.5 ohm 50/50 vg/Pg 1.2 ohm you might get away with 60/40
Using the wrong vg/Pg ratio breaks coils and/or reduces life span
Is that roughly correct? Because I've been reading conflicting advice.
Thanks for your help xx

Because I've been reading conflicting advice. Thanks for your help xx Here's my take on it: VG is thicker, smoother, makes more clouds and slightly mutes flavour PG is runnier, carries flavour better and adds some throat hit Too much PG in a high power setup will probably give too much throat hit.... hence, for low resistance coils, people generally use higher VG. On lower power builds, more flavour and throat hit (for the setup) are usually desired, hence less VG. Too viscous an eliquid may not wick as well as a runnier one... so has the potential (particularly in winter) to not wick fast enough for some setups. I haven't heard of coils breaking/reduced lifespan because of PG/VG ratio. Most of the gunk that builds up on them are due to (unvapourised) components of the flavouring. [ETA] - I think that a lot comes down to personal choice.
