Hey, as title says, my cool fire is saying 'shorted' - and it won't work.
Is this dangerous? I thought a battery short was really bad.
What should I do?
Thanks xx

Try a different tank on it to start with if you have one. I would guess its a coil / tank problem more than a mod problem but by trying a different tank you can work out what part is giving you problems.

As the Coolfire is a regulated mod, it has detected a fault (short) and therefore won't/shouldn't supply power to the atomiser... which would/could otherwise be dangerous.
Take the atomiser off the mod and see what it then says (probably "check atomiser" or something along those lines). Also check the atomiser for any possible cause of the short circuit or try changing the coil. (What tank is it that you are using, and are they premade coil/head units?)

I have the tank to my kangertech subox nano on it. 1.5ohm coil.
I've unscrewed it and put it back on and it's working now.
I'm in the car (not driving, my husband is) - we're traveling back to London. Is it dangerous?
I've turned it off now.xx

No not dangerous as the self-protection is working and it won't supply power to the coil.

Oh good. Well it seems to be ok now. I slightly panicked there that the battery might blow up! But it didn't feel hot and wasn't making any weird noises.
Odd that it happened tho! I can't work out why.

Something somewhere in the mod's connection, the atomiser or coil must have been causing a short circuit. Too low a resistance and a regulated mod will just say "no" and not fire. That's the (safety) advantage of regulated mods versus mechanical mods (which have at most just fuse protection).

Strange things can happen for no reason at times put a tank on one mod and it won't fire so take it off and try on another and it works fine put back on the first and it then works why things like this happen god know but it's the joys of vaping for you
