Everything - This product contains nicotine!

Hi,

Since the TPD kicked in I've seen loads of bottle, tank and mod boxes all saying "This product contains nicotine which is highly addictive" on the box. But this is also the case when the liquid contains 0% nicotine and the same with some of the mods, tanks and ego style batteries they all have that written on the packet even though they don't come with any liquid with/in them lol

I know it is now a requirement for this warning to be placed on packaging but is it not essentially false advertising saying it contains nicotine when it doesn't? 

I'm also still seeing adverts for "Blu - The UK's #1 vaping kit" (Self proclaimed) on the side of buses even though advertising was supposedly banned

Some manufacturers gained permission to add to the statutory warning, clarification that the warning doesn't apply unless nicotine containing liquid added to the product, because yes it is misleading!!!:
 

Some advertising in certain media is not prohibited (not sure why these are excluded, but there's a lot of the TPD/TRPR that doesn't make sense!):

... The previous chapters set out CAP’s best understanding of which media channels are prohibited from carrying advertisements for unlicensed, nicotine-containing electronic cigarettes.
CAP’s understanding of TRPR is that the following non-broadcast media channels are not subject to the Regulations and can carry advertising for unlicensed, nicotine-containing electronic cigarettes:

 outdoor advertising, including digital outdoor advertising
 posters on public transport (not leaving the UK)
 cinema
 direct hard copy mail
 leaflets
 publications / websites etc. targeted exclusively to the trade

Oh okay I wasn't aware of that tiny additional writing on the packets lol. It still annoys me though, it just seems pointless to me to have it there.
Why not put warnings on other things like blu-ray boxes saying "This product may contain a VHS tape" - ridiculous and pointless.
