Battery charging

Hi just wondered if I can charge Duracell AA batteries (rechargeable) in my Efest luc v6 charger. Lost or should I say can't find the Duracell charger and don't want to buy another if I can use this. Thanks

Looking at the info on the box, the answer would probably be "NO" - do you not have the instruction manual

They are indeed. I also have a niitecore i4 charger knocking about but no manuals for either

I believe the i4 will do AA and AAA but think you have to put them in 1 & 3 or 2 & 4 as pairs - not 100% on that but worth doing anyway

I don't know squat about chargers.... (My "battery guy" recomended one and that's what I use)

But Mr Google found this manual for the Nitecore Intellicharger i4. linky  In it, it says "The i4 is able to automatically identify Li-ion, Ni-MH and Ni-Cd rechargeable batteries" Assuming that's the right manual for your charger.

So it seems possible it'll handle charging the older style re-chargeables....

BUT please - can someone who knows about this stuff please confirm I read that right!

I found this specification/description of your charger pacman :

The Efest LUC V6 is a six-bay lithium ion battery charger with adjustable outputs. USB output allows the charger to act as a power bank to charge other USB devices. This charger is compatible with most types of cylindrical lithium batteries ranging in size from 10440 to 26650.
Specifications:

Input – AC 100V-240V 50/60Hz or DC 12V 2A
Output – 4.2V +/-.05V
Output Current – .68A x 6 channels or 2A x 2 channels
USB Output – 5.0-5.5V 1A

Duracell rechargeable batteries appear to be NiMH (Nickle-metal hydride) i.e. NOT Lithium Ion.
Your particular Efest LUC V6 charger therefore does NOT appear to be suitable for charging these 1.2V batteries, whose voltage and chemistry are different.

Thanks guys will use the i4 to try them got 4 to do so will put them all in together and let you know ( hopefully) tomorrow. Got the wife looking for the manuals as we speak as she is the organised one in the house.

I can confirm the nitecore chargers will charge AAs, done it for a couple of years

This:- "The i4 is able to automatically identify Li-ion, Ni-MH and Ni-Cd rechargeable batteries" also applies to the i2 variant (that I have)

Yeah i charge AA and AAA Ni-MH batteries in my Nitecore too, the label on the back of the charger lists the battery types it will work with.
The XTAR VC4 will also charge NI-MH.
