Hi all, I have a minikin 2 and the fire button seems to have developed a fault. The button is very loose and doesn't click any more and it's often firing just by laying it down or when holding it on its side the weight of the loose button seems to fire it. I've stripped it down and can't see what the problem is but where the button would push the switch on the board internally there's no click to that. In truth I don't know what I'm looking at. Are there any resident geniuses who think this is repairable as I do like the mod but just don't have the funds to buy a new one ?
Jay.

If its a tactile switch on a board Ive known them fail, had a couple go myself on cheap isticks . If you can find a similar sized switch and someone with the skills/equipment to do it should be an easy fix.

it dont sound like you got juice in it because its to easy to fire but try dipping a cotton bud in some aftershave and prodding the button on the pcb with it get the button v wet so it works its way in and press the button a good number of times to really get in in there if you feel a change in the way the buttton works whilst pressing/working it then its prob washed the gunk out and alls good leave to dry for 10 mins and then replace the batts and test DO NOT TRY THIS WITH THE SODDING BATTS IN bad things can happen lol
allso works v well on xbox pads ect

the button sounds like its worn out, the inner part of the button has a forced dome shape that creates a click when pressed (not unlike an opened jam jar lid) when it has deformed it may still make contact but not as reliably. replacement switch is the only course of action, but the solder points are a bloody nightmare, normally 2 points of contact are all that is required of what is probably 4 solder points to the board
