FYI, if you are just applying to the raw nylon, it's extremely simple just to coat the entire thing with CA without dilution. The dilution method always left things spotty and of course is worthless for a dyed version. My last several 3d prints, i just did a single layer coat (i do use the wood CA which is a longer cure time) of thin CA. Another tip is use a sponge type makeup applicator (I'm sure you have plenty...LOL). The one's I get are a black plastic stick with a oval flat sponge like tip (from Walgreen's). It's really strange, they puff up and really swell up and hold a lot of CA. The weird part is the CA does not dry on the applicator tips. Anything natural (paper, cloth, etc) is reacts badly giving off fumes and gets hots, then hardens super quick. But these sponges last through several application of an entire mod. Let the first thin coat dry and it soaks into the nylon very well. DO NOT SAND or you'll be stuck sanding any other layers and it tends to turn white (which sux if you dyed it). Naturally dry (no instant cure) and then you can apply one more thin coat and it protects very well. This is what I do for raw nylon, dye or natural. For painted, I use spray clear enamel, at least 3 layers, then apply the CA, layer by layer. Though this method requires sanding as you want a smooth glossy finish. But the CA over the nylon will give a nice satin finish if no sanding is done (and you lay down the layers even). I buy stick fast wood CA thin from Amazon. Gives you 60 secs of cure time.

CA = Cyanoacrylate

Dilution is with acetone, this is a long established method for wooden mod bodies, the discussion I took the above from was about the dilution method getting scary hot which was probably due to humidity.

I never would have thought of filling with the superglue but Ive just managed to fill some annoying seams on my acrylic squonker with it.
And its a hell of a lot easier to sand to a near invisible finish than the acrylic liquid.

You can mix baking powder = bicarbonate of soda with the super glue (to fill not to coat though).
