Smok Alien help

Hi all,

Was just changing tanks over on my smok alien when the screen flashed on and now it won't turn on?

Checked the batteries (30Qs from next day battery) tried different batteries, clicked 5x etc and it's still dead.

Bought it from someone on here a few weeks ago so no idea what to do now?

Do you know if it is an A model or a B model if so, download the appropriate firmware - to install the firmware take batteries out, run the installer, then hold the fire button all the time, attach USB and press the Connect button, select the file and run the upgrade, this should bring it back to life, it did with my B model which had a similar problem.

Thanks Bob, no idea what model it is but I'll give that a try!

If it helps, the B model used to say v1.0.2B when you first started it up

Managed to get it to fire but the screen has a black spot bang in the middle so it's almost impossible to read what version it is or any of the settings, tried plugging it into a laptop and downloading an update anyway but the laptop or the software didn't recognise anything being connected ☹

Looks like I've bought a £45 baby beast tank ☹😢😭

If you got that with one of the upgrades, then that may probably the wrong one, there are 2 different models, so try the other one, you did make sure that you held the fire button in all the time, because that also gives that message.

Hi Gary, Take a look at the link below and follow the firmware upgrade to the letter and see if this solves the issue

Been doing a lot of checking on Youtube because I just ordered the Alien 220, and it seems 90% of the problems are from people downloading the wrong version of the firmware update, It's worth checking Youtube as they seem to have cures for alll the problems,,
