Hello It been a long time since I've been on here but I here for some advice or help if anyone would be kind enough I have the ram squonker which seems to have developed a problem with the fire button Sometimes it works sometimes not I really like the mod so could anyone repair the fire button or even replace the button and 510 and bottle please I have seen a video from the vaping biker who did this upgrade but it's beyond my capability I'm happy to pay for the help. Fingers crossed Tom

I thought it could have been that and I have cleaned it a couple of times there is a spark that happens when it does fire which is worrying it's not the usual arching that happens when it was first being used . There is also a metal piece that cam be spun around the inside of the switch I'm at a bit of a loss what to do lol

i dont have that particular mod but the fire switch do lock so i would imagine that spinny round bit is something to do with that the prob is you get a build up of gunk were the switch makes contact and you need to clean it every so often but to do it properly normally mean fully disassembling the switch and giving all the bits a good seeing to i would disassemble it in a clear plastic bag then you don't lose any bits that surprise you by trying to depart at warp factor 6 across the room dont force anything and dont tighten things up like a gorilla as you want to be able to take it apart to clean again lol sorry i cant be much more help but im sure if you wait a bit there are a few peps on here that have the ram and will be better informed on how to strip it

tbh i cant see you getting much benefit out of what the guy did in the video the wire will prob be nearly as good as the copper strip for conductivity but wont fall out every 5 mins it might be worth swapping the 510 at some point in the distant future but i wouldn't panic over it the ram is a full mech the only thing he is doing is making it fugly and need cleaning more often lol might be worth putting a switch fet in if you want to mix it up a bit ;p www.modmaker.co.uk/Squonk-Parts/Switchfet-V2will stop all the flashing and temp firing and a lot of cleaning of contacts if fitted properly (if there is room) idd personally just get the wire soldered back on for now and wait to see what other mods peps come up with for it without more or less destroying the thing

Yeah that's sounds like good advice I appreciate it . I going to get one of the electrician's at work to solder it back on tomorrow and take it from there. It would have been great if there was a website for vape modifications and upgrades you can send you gear off to but hey. Thanks for the advice
