Hi guys,
I've raised a ticket for my new Druga RDA which isn't working.
FT asked me to send a picture - I've sent a picture of the Druga attached to my VT Inbox and the mod saying "Ohms too low".
Is there a usual procedure for getting an item replaced after? Will I need to send the original back to China?
Any experiences, good or bad, or details on replacement procedure much appreciated...

As far as I'm aware, FT usually only require a photo and not the return of the faulty item.
[ETA] .... If I recall correctly, that is!

Yes, when it happened to me "once upon a time", they did.... or they might give you a credit. The whole process, if I recall, was relatively painless, albeit they take a day or so to reply.

I bought my first ever squonker from them. Steamcrave mod. Died shortly after. But had to send them videos to prove it. They tried making me take it to a "uk repairer". To which i declined. Then had a big to and fro argument with them. They said send it bk and they will then decide what they will do or i could take a 10 dollar gift certificate. Took way to long so decided to give in and take the tenner.

thebishman - I don't like the sound of that I certainly would be very lemon about buying anything else from them if that is their stance they decide to take. My thoughts are simple - it don't work - replace it

Ive had to send 1 thing back, they payed the return post but you have to send it as cheaply a possible so it takes forever to conclude. Did get the cash back tho.

I guess it's a trade off between what you save over the long run versus what you lose when something turns up DOA. Best advice I got about ordering from China was "be ready to put whatever it is straight in the bin" - don't bother faffing with returns. (I think it was from Perpetua)

IF they do ask for it to be sent back... then make sure that you get at least a Proof of Postage receipt. Scan or take a pic of it and notify them that you have sent the item as requested.

thebishman - Did you raise the issue on AAEC and other forums? I know people won't stop buying from FT as it is so cheap and good for getting new stuff - but I guess people should be aware of the potential PITA if you receive a non-working item?

domesticextremist - I think the reason I am a bit wary at the moment is the last two Pico squeeze I bought from FT pretty much self destructed on the day I got them. The main purchase this time, the VT Inbox, seems OK - but the Druga wasn't a cheap RDA and was supposed to be "the cherry on top" of my new mod

The last thing I sent back was a self firing wismec predator. Send it back 2nd class signed for (about £11) and send them a picture of the receipt and you will have your postage refunded either to your preferred payment option or gift certificate. Wait two weeks then using the same ticket facility, ask them for an update on your situation. It is important you get in touch with them, as they will be none too keen to contact you when they receive it. You will get a replacement, but from my experience the whole process may take around three weeks.
