And a lot more than 40 quid as well. A pity manufacturers haven't learnt anything. It's biggest failing was poor paint finish which wore all too easily. Fast forward to 2day. Same old story.

It also proves just how easy it is for manufacturers to lighten a bank balance when they hit the market with the newest must have piece of hyped up shinyness.

Ive just looked and the yi-hi sx 350 chips are 62quid. As youve said dosent warrant the 100 odd extra for what is ultimately a cheap china mod. At this price im surprised there still in stock.

And a lot more than 40 quid as well. A pity manufacturers haven't learnt anything. It's biggest failing was poor paint finish which wore all too easily. Fast forward to 2day. Same old story. It was only the first batch that had the flaking paint issue, had mine for about 2 years it's as good as new. All in all a very solidly built mod, in terms of construction the only thing i'm not a huge fan of is the battery cap the threads are very fine you have to be very careful not to cross thread it. Can't say i'm a fan of the chip either, it functions fine and you can upgrade it to 75W with firmware but the menu system is overly fussy, just normal stuff like adjusting the wattage should be as simple as pushing up when you want to go up and pushing down when you want to go down, but not on this thing, no you have to push one button to get into the wattage adjust mode then adjust it. Another thing that is a minus these days is the 510 platform it's designed for a 22mm atty which was cool at the time as anything bigger was rare but 24mm and 25mm are commonplace now so you're kind of limited as to what you can stick on top.

You can get a Vapedroid C2D1 for under £36 (<£37 with pp rates), far far better mod www.fasttech.com/products/6272300 code THANKS15 Or a VT inbox squonker for only a couple of quid more, still under £40 if paying by Mastercard. (if anyone goes for the droid get a sleeve for it as the paint does come off) I did own an SX Mini and had an extremely poor opinion of it: nothing special in power mode, unvapable in temp mod for me ymmv and horrible menu.

Good advice, it's a great mod & a bargain to boot, got 2 x C2D1 on the go & another on the way, they're pretty much all i use when i'm not squonking.

I never tried the V2 but am a fan of the tilt adjust V1 chip. It was really annoying only because other mods didn't do so it never became natural like pressing up/down and sometimes happened when I didn't want it. It was a reasonable idea though and no doubt good if you use it enough it becomes natural.

Yeah it is a pain, i turned the tilt function off but even then when only using the buttons you still have to go through the ritual of either going into the menu or pressing either the up then the down or vice versa can never remember which to get into wattage adjust.

Mine is on the shelf unused for many months, I spit in its direction as I walk past Pulse width temp control is the reason I've never touched another sx mod.
