MTL during the day - about 4ml (10mg nic). Sub-ohm in the eveneings and weekends - about 6ml (3-6 mg nic). So 10ml+ total a day.

What e-juice are you using? Water?
I have been mixing my own for 4+ years now, so I know exactly what it cost.
My usual mix of 24mg at 70/30 by 100ml comes in at £3.09p. That equates to 6.61p per day.
If I was getting through 30ml to 60ml a day, that would come in at 92p to £1.85p a day.
As I only have one mouth and 2 lungs, I wonder where all the excess vapour is going between my 6.61p of mine and yours £1.85p?

30 to 60 mil a day ...... Phwoar! That's good reason to DIY! +++ I finally did sums based on recent trip. 150 ml over about 25 days works to about 7 or so ml per day. Little surprising, I thought I'd be using more since the vape gizmo is never far from reach. Until now I was only really guessing my usage volume since I normally have several atties on the go concurrently.

If I was getting through 30ml to 60ml a day, that would come in at 92p to £1.85p a day. ... Just idle musing..... That 1.85 UK pounds equates to about $3.25 Oz dollars per day (roughly 0.57 pence to the oz dollar according to Mr Google) or, less than the cost of one coffee from a cafe. Four years ago, when last I bought 'em, a carton of Winnie Blues cost about $150. (Carton = 8 packets each containing 25 smokes) or about $18.75 per packet. And it was much more if you bought the packets loose. Price here have gone up dramatically since then (Govt sin taxes), with that same carton now well over $250. Way over a buck a stick. Vaping's dirt cheap by comparison.

Ofcourse it is DaveJ Compared to smoking, Vaping is not in the same ball park. However, I cannot get my head around why anyone would want to Vape 30 to 60ml when you can get all the satisfaction you could want from less than 3ml a day. It's a bit like driving from A to B. You could drive it in a Mini, or you could drive it in as Articulated Class One Lorry. You will still get there in the end, the only difference is who notices you as you pass by. I was hospital bound for 2 weeks recently and ofcourse you are not allowed to smoke in there. However, once the staff realised how little vapour was given off by my I-stick and Nautilus mod, I was permitted to Vape as long as it was not annoying to others and I was discreet. Common Sense tells me that I could be neither if I was getting through 30 to 60ml a day.

.... However, I cannot get my head around why anyone would want to Vape 30 to 60ml when you can get all the satisfaction you could want from less than 3ml a day. Maybe - but some don't see it the same as you or I. I've had this exact same discussion before: comparing my lowish consumption with someone who said they "required" far higher volumes ... I can only say it has to be a case of different strokes for different folks. Remember: I'm "needing" about double what you are currently using and, frankly, I cannot see how your lower volume would "do it" for me nowdays - at least not without some considerable "adjustment" which I'd rather not deal with. It's a bit like driving from A to B. You could drive it in a Mini, or you could drive it in as Articulated Class One Lorry. You will still get there in the end, the only difference is who notices you as you pass by. hehe - yeah, I do get you, and certainly the small economical car does make far more sense, BUT I'm the sort of fella who would prefer to be in that big truck despite the obvious issues. Ya see the "car" I drive? Perhaps there's a comment about size and over-compensating or something in there .... *grin* But seriously, it's just that some buy cars for reasons that don't always make sense to ourselves. I cannot fathom some folk's choices, just as they can't figure mine. That's OK - so long as they drive on our shared roads responsibly it really doesn't matter. Yes. Agree - of course you are right about this. And that's one thing that does scare me: how I'd deal with that situation if/when my time comes. Because I'm certain our medico system wouldn't be any where near as tolerant to vaping (in any form) as yours is.

... Maybe some need more than you to get that satisfaction?? I also have a general thought that what satisfies us can change, depending on circumstance. Once an EVOD (with somewhat stronger juice) "did it" for me. But after getting use to somewhat "better" gear (with adjusted juice) I find those older EVODS no longer satisfying. Perhaps, if I had never bought into those "upgrades" I'd still be happy on those EVODS. After all, I remained a constant user of the exact same brand/type of smoke for over 3 decades so why is it that I now find I need to "upgrade" my vape? Donno - but one thing I do know is I ain't sorry I swapped to vaping.

I generally go through 15-20 ml a day depending on what tanks I’m on that particular day. Always got 6 on the go so it’s a rough calculation. If I have a full day on my crown tanks then it would probably be more like 30 ml for that day.

Hi DaveJ <<< Maybe - but some don't see it the same as you or I. >>>If someone is sub ohming at say 0.6ohms @ 40mls, they would be consuming the same 24mg a day that I would be consuming. The only real difference would be that they would be going through about 15 times the amount of PG, VG and Flavouring. I would imagine that the coil life would also suffer, but I don't know on that subject. I imagine that in the (hopefully far distant) future, to keep with my preferred higher mg level, that I will have to look at sub-ohming, but in the meantime, higher mg and low volume suits me just fine,

I started a 200ml bottle last Monday @ 15:30 by the following Saturday I was starting a new 100ml bottle, I was getting concerned that I was using to much to fast, but didn't have a clue what my weekly or daily consumption was, so I marked the bottle with date and time. I use max vg and 0.1mg nicotine. New year's resolution... Must cut down.
