The beginnings..

..of a poor man's line..Ever since I saw one I wanted to make a similar design and when I saw a VH-VK cart I was struck by the similarity in the looks..

The shell was kindly donated by Alex from vapourhut after I pestered the poor guy..

The inside plastic tube is from a dead giant echomiser kindly donated by perpetua.

The ceramic is from one of Dave's dead atty's. I think it's the LR901 ceramic which I rebuilt as an atty and then took it out again.

So huge thanks to all of the above for helping me experiment.







When finished should look like this..Though I may scrape the paint off and make it silver..



Still work in progress..Hoping to finish it sometime this month.

i have just seen one of steel jans videos of this with stainless looks good too wel done macca
I cannot afford a decent rebuildable so this could well be my next project

Looks like Steeljan has made one out of a one piece removable..Looks like that's a bigger shell than the one I 've got and the cart has ego threading..

The grounding on mine is from the outside through the body I have used sewing needles for now to make sure the grounding works.

I am not going to use superglue and heatshrink in juice though..

Very interesting macca. I just happen to have one rather like that complete with a plastic inner and a pen top in a rather fetching burgundy - it was sent to me by mistake. I will add it to my "macca - for re-cycling" bag

LOL, looks like the folks in ECF have done this idea to death..

Would have saved me a lot of time on how to make a food safe and leak proof coil and wick bung if I had known about that thread earlier..

I haven't read all the thread but the thing I've got is an F1 I believe - the Riva tank looks the same as this as well.

As far as I can make out the F1 will have ego threading only..The 510 bit in the middle will be smooth and completely thread free..

The ego-w will have 510 threading but the skirts will fit over a ego connector like a stardust..
