Finally, with much regret and wailing and gnashing of teeth, I have decided to throw my bottle of Darkstar "gold" nicotine....the fact it went "gold" after about 2 weeks and was always kept in a dark place and I will NEVER buy from Darkstar again are for another time.... I've tried it in a couple of mixes recently and it tasted "bad" (as well as being almost luminous...) so it needs to go in the bin. At the moment, the plastic bottle (with about 500ml inside....growl, gnash etc) is currently inside my black bin bag...assuming it will head for landfill? I didn't want to pour the contents down the sink for possible environmental concerns? In a nut shell, what is the best way to dispose of nicotine? TIA

Isn't nicotine solution sold as weed killer? Possible use for it?

down the sink it will be no more of a environmental concern than sending it to landfill. If anything it will be less of a impact as the water is treated landfill is not.

Oh yes lol i work in landfill and trust me it will just get thrown in with all the other rubbish and may even get split / run over and just leach into the ground anyway. with water treatment it does what its called..... treated so imho its the lesser of two evils mate.

Mix it with some water and pour it into an ant's nest or spray your greenfly with it. It is a good non-systemic insecticde and will wash off in the next shower and biodegrade.

ghostrider1971 such a shame to throw it away But I recall reading somewhere that nic is good to be put down the kitchen sink if it is first well diluted with household bleach.

I’m in agreement with using it as an insecticide. Let’s you also recoup some of your losses instead of buying some.

I’m in agreement with using it as an insecticide. Let’s you also recoup some of your losses instead of buying some. Some time ago a vaping friend advised they used unvapable nic liquid as rose spray ... kills aphids, and such. No, I 've no idea of ratios/dilutions best suited for that purpose. Small story. Way back before the Great Australian Nic Is Bad M'kay legislation was passed (about 2009), nic fluids were available on hardware store shelves as a garden insecticide.
