Kayfun Lite The Difference (5 Years)
Well it had to happen, after 5 years of trouble free daily use with no maintenance except wick and coil replacement, during the week I filled the juice up but some came trickling out of the drip tip. After making a mental note to myself to pay more attention next fill I then went onto vape but noticed although the vapour was ok, at the end of the pull it felt like I was pulling a mix of air as well. As the week went on things got worse and every fill caused juice to flow out of the drip tip again and also after only a short while the dreaded dry burn occurred. Using a Kayfil tool I checked the level of juice and it was still 3/4 full, so why was I vaping air and burnt cotton....ok the design of the Kayfun works on vacuum and I had a lack of it so time to check the ‘O’-rings. This was the culprit..... and its a 1.5 x 5mm which seals the top of the chimney when the tank assembly is screwed back onto the deck. I put the old and new ‘O’ rings on the chimney and as can be seen the old one slides down to the bottom but the top new one grips and will seal as intended. Getting it out easier than in but with the help of a piece of 6 mm wooden dowel it can be pushed and compressed to fit into the recess. This is the first ‘O’-Ring I have had to replace on this Kayfun in 5 years of daily use and the first real problem I have encountered. Why are Kayfun’s so expensive? I guess it’s the quality of materials used and the design which makes....”The Difference”
