Is there anyone who can repair an Innokin Cool Fire IV?
I bought one on Amazon last week, and it appears to be dead. If I plug the charging cable in, the charging light doesn't come on. Nothing seems to happen when I try to power it up.
I did get a refund without needing to send it back, because Amazon reckons that one can't send it back through the Post Office. It would be a shame though to just chuck it without trying something.
So, if anyone knows about the inner workings of these mods, I'll be sending it via courier.
Thanks in advance.

Going to ask the blonde question as I did it myself with one 😂 Have you turned it on on the bottom of the mod?

Does the fire button show any lights red/green when you are attempting to turn it on doctorjellybean ? A short video might give an idea what is wrong. If it's a dud battery, that can be swapped for a tabbed 30q, if it's a faulty board, I would say game over.

I've uploaded a video showing it being turned on, clicked to try and get some response, trying to charge and finally charging a battery to show that the charging cable is working.

Ok, this is weird. I've left the charging cable plugged in, and all of a sudden the red charging light came on after 15 minutes or so. It is still red, so I'm gonna leave it and see what happens.

Could be the battery is completely discharged and may take some time to recharge. Just keep an eye on it, but it should charge fully now.

I have to say that this is the first time I encountered a completely discharged battery in a new mod. It probably was old stock or something.

I've heard before that if the usb has any dust or dirt in it then this can cause the unit not to charge, but it seems that it may have sorted itself out for you, so fingers crossed.

Poundland power banks do the same thing - they are devoid of charge so it trickle charges for a few minutes. Unfortunately, there is no outward indication of this until the voltage gets above 3v leaving you to think you have bought a dud. I used to think it was because they were old stock until I saw a "customer" rip open the packaging and start trying to charge her phone in the shop, shamelessly, right by the till. A schoolkid explained to her why her phone wouldn't charge and off she went in a huff. LOL I think poundland stock them that way on purpose.
