Ok, I know I am well behind the times but I still use my trusty old iTaste VTR2. I need some new batteries the ones I have are tired. I used to buy from Torchy from Ebay but that shop seems to have vanished. I need 4 x 18650 button top batteries, it doesn't like the flat tops. Am I correct in thinking the mah is how long the battery will last but unsure what is the difference with the amps, 20A/30A. The manual doesn't specify the ampage I should use. Obviously, I want to buy safe batteries from a reliable vendor so am a bit cautious about what I buy and from where. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Many thanks

I don't know about button tops but Fogstar is the best place for batteries. They do a discount on Fridays - you've missed the Black Friday deals.

Torchy still has a website, although not all his stock is always listed. Try dropping him an email: sales@torchythebatteryboy.com There are some other trusted battery vendors too, as mentioned above. Fogstar is one... but I've always have tended to stick with Torchy. Yes, basically, for a given setup, the higher the mAh the longer the time in between charges, however some manufacturers/vendors exaggerate their capacity.

The Innokin VTR2 is probably limited to 15 watts so won't draw more than 5 amps. Most decent 18650 vaping batteries are rated at 20 amps. Another good battery vendor is Ecolux. Their website allows you to filter for button top batteries, but they all seem expensive to me. Eclolux Shop

Thanks for the replies everyone. I am rubbish with anything remotely electrical and at 51, know I will never learn. I think I should email the supplier to check which one I need for my antique Thanks again Based on the specs of that mod the most that device will draw in Amps based on the minimum coil resistance at the maximum Voltage/Wattage is 6 Amps so i wouldn't stress about the Amp rating too much you'll struggle to find an 18650 that is rated below 10 Amps.
You will want the UNPROTECTED variety NOT the protected kind.
They have a variety here. This is a trusted supplier but if you want to look for a UK vendor just make sure the cells are the right kind.
