Which Provari ?

Hi, been vaping only 4 weeks or so and dead keen to get a Provari but just wanted some thoughts from other forum members whether its best to get the standard or mini size. They also do an extension for larger batteries but not sure if thats better on either model to increase the batt usage time ?

Any guidance appreciated

To be honest they are all good and I won't part with mine.

The MK1 standard size are limited to 2.5 amp though so will limit output and give an error message with 1.5 ohm atty's.

The Standard model with battery extension will take an 18650 battery which will last me all day and most of the next.

Don't own a mini version but have only read good things about them.

Down to personal preference really, whatever model you feel will suit your needs best is probably the one for you as they all do their thing rather well.

I had a Provari and sold it.
I was scared to take it out of the house because it cost so much, and I am notoriously careless with stuff.
To be honest, my favourite vape is at 3.7.
The Provari deserved a more discerning owner. It's finer points were wasted on me....

If you get the standard provari it will require an AW IMR 18490 battery which makes it quite a small unit in itself. In this mode the battery will last me about 7-8 hours if I'm sensible, size wise it's about as long as an ego 1000. The extended end cap will allow it to take an 18650 IMR which will increase the provari by about an inch in length, That battery will last me most of the day or the whole day if I'm sensible. If you get the standard with the extended cap then you will have the option of using both set ups.

The mini provari runs on an 18350 IMR and is about an inch shorter than the standard model, I put an 18350 battery in my standard model with a battery adapter to see whether or not it would be worth my while getting a mini and I got a respectable 4 1/2hours from it. If you use the extended end cap then you can put an 18490 battery in there with the advantage of having a very small PV that'll fit nicely into your pocket in small mode and a decent sized PV to use at other times.
If you're going to be away from a charger for long spells then you will need to carry a couple/few spare batterys about with you if you get the small version and it would be for this reason that I would go for the standard size with the option of extending to an 18650.

Performance/power wise there is no difference between both types.

Which finish takes your fancy Andy?

I've a V1 Satin . . . with the extension cap, if I were to get another I'd probably go with the standard size, after seeing Gordy's gorgeous Chrome one at the weekend, it's a lovely neat unit.

If I go for the mini I think it only comes in one colour. Havent really decided on colour if I go for the standard - chrome does look nice and shiny though !

i prefer the regular size. it feels nice in the hand and as Blakey said gives 8 hours which isnt too shabby... has the option of the extender cap if you feel you need longer. version 2 is the way to go however you can pick up a second hand v1 for around 100 notes

now what finish to choose isnt so cut and dry as they all look lovely ...i opted for chrome as im a shiney whore. my bro ordered a satin at the same time and i actually preferred the feel of it... it felt silky and cool in your hand while the chrome almost feels sticky. the new black looks amazing too

the mini is available in satin but black too very soon

oh i nearly forgot ...display colours... red, blue or new green
