Free stuff from China or Amazon / Amazon prime. be warned

brought to my attention on UKV

just a heads up on this for anyone who has been receiving free tat from china, amazon or amazon prime lately (even if your not a member).

up until 30 mins ago i thought it was just a shipping quota where companies have to have so many a year and as were at the end of the financial year we are seeing more of them arrive which weve not ordered.

well i was wrong. its a brushing scam and your details are being used fraudulently.

this is the crap ive received this week so far. previously swimming goggles and a decent set of in ear headphones.

Got a set of pet fountain filters the other day from Amazon whatever the hell they are, just binned em.
Got sent a desktop fan before too some months ago.

two more items yesterday. face mask and insect repelent wristbands.

ive now contacted amazon and they have escalated it to their fraud squad as they can see the items were sent to me but not ordered by me.

they asked that anyone else being affected to contact amazon support on 0800 279 7234

email today saying:
Hello,
We will investigate this issue that you brought to our attention and take the appropriate action.
For privacy reasons, we cannot share the results of our investigation with you.

I've had 3 random parcels in the last week. I called the number that MrDJ kindly supplied and she couldn't have been more disinterested, kept insisting that a friend must have sent a gift.
1. None of my friends would send an anonymous gift.
2. I can't play a guitar..and
3. I don't snorkel or climb mountains.

Forgot the protective cover for a phone I don't own

im guessing theve had lots of calls lately as it sounds like thousands around the uk are getting random crap theve not ordered.

strangely since my call ive not received any more (so far). last sunday was the last.

the bloke i spoke to also had no idea but he escalated it to his superior and i received an apology email within an hour.

they said it could still continue so either accept them or refuse delivery.

i would try the number again and ask for it to be escalated.

what you need is one of the numbers on the package. most of mine start with Q

then you can get them to check it against your account and they will see you did not order it but it was sent to you. then they will take notice.

i would also mention you wasnt impressed with the last agent you spoke to as they made out it was someone you know that ordered it.

Getting annoying now, i've had a few packages sent sporadically over the last 6 months like one here and one there or so which was kind of funny but in the last week i've had items arriving daily.

Yup me too!! 8x led colour changing candle bulbs 1x washing up scrubber!!! All logged with Amazon here's waiting for the 80inch tv!!

My girlfriend had a spell of receiving Chinese tat for free via amazon (she has never ordered e-cig stuff but has ordered rubbish from wish.com before)

Amazon promised to do something about it a few times but still they came. Then one of the amazon folk said "refuse to accept the parcels when they turn up"

She only had to refuse delivery of one parcel and has never received any more.

Worth a try if it bothers you.

Started getting crap from Amazon again just lately after buying a legitimate product!!
I've even had a parcel from them for prr whom left this world in May 2018... Anyone else getting stuff again/still?

got a few things the other year but have now moved and didn't update my address details on Amazon site so they don't know where i lie now....
