Vapes on a train

I take a lot of trains to visit my lass as she lives in a different city and always vape publicly (although being discrete with the vapour)

Just wondering if anyone has ever had any problems with specific companies or knows if their are national rail guidelines?

To be fair mate I use trains on a Saturday for away games quite a lot, never had a problem vaping, but then I think they have bigger concerns with a train full of football fans all drinking. I have used the London To Sheffield and back train quite a few times, to get from Derby to Chesterfield, and I vape on there with no problems.

I've vaped on many a train,my fav being the Virgin Pendolino Manchester to London and back.Discrete of course Or to Blackpool(northwest trains) once very open and the inspector walked past me several times and didn't bat an eyelid.

It is legal to vape on trains, as far as I know, as it is anywhere. Like you though, I try to be discreet, because most people assume you are smoking and get terribly confused when they cant smell smoke...you see their brains whirring as to what they can actually complain about...

Not long ago I was taking a few subtle puffs whilst down an aisle in Waitrose, suddenly a woman with a walkie talkie came rushing into the aisle staring daggers at me. Then she got all bewildered and started walking in circles speaking quietly into her walkie talkie. I felt sure that I had been spotted on camera looking like I was smoking and she had come to collar me. She looked so disappointed.
