Hi Peeps, Old AAE-C'er here popping in with a question I'm finally considering moving on from my old timey EGo batts and CE4's so have been wandering the internet marvelling at the vast range of high tech ecig gubbins that's now available. Dang there's a lot of it !! Anyways, I alighted on this: Innokin Kroma-R Zlide KitIt seems to hit all the right criteria for me. Simple no faff operation, cheap to run, Cig like draw etc etc. I've watched and read some reviews, and the Zlide tank seems well thought of. I've always liked Phil Busardo's approach, and he seems to be involved in it's design. Anyone got experience of this kit/tank? Any tips/info/bewares? Thanks for any input, John P.S. FAO Forum admin, this MTL section is the only general interest subforum here that requires a log in to view, all the rest eg Beginners, General etc can be viewed without a log in. Maybe open this one up for Joe Public? Classic (MTL) Vaping style is prob the next most important for smokers to see after the beginners area ?

Strange as the permissions were set to everyone John . . . . I've refreshed and re-saved them just to be sure.
As to your question, I did succumb eventually to a Zlide - having resisted it's lure for a time, some things just have a certain inevitability though!
I like it, it's super simple to use/replace coils/ refill . . . . there's a decent range of airflow settings, I have mine fully open as I like an ' airy ' MTL draw.
The only negative I've found is that the coils don't last especially long ( I only use around 13watts depending on coil age ) but that could be due to the eliquid I'm using - a vanilla custard blend, although it's not especially sweet. 20ml is about what I can put through these coils before the taste peaks right off, which going by my experience with other Innokin tanks/coils isn't great. So I'll be interested to compare with other flavours when I've finished this one.

Hi Perps, So, in general a thumbs up? Sounds good to me, I shall spend the monies forthwith! Cheers, John P.S. Are the 1.6 ohm coils the ones that you'd recommend?

Definitely John . . . . yes, I'm using the 1.6 ohm Zenith coils which are compatible with the Zlide:

Welp, My kit turned up, batteries charging right now. Looking forward to trying this little puppy out @ Perps. BTW Todd explains how to 'break in' these coils so as to extend thier life in this Vid (approx 5min to 8 min mark): Innokin Coolfire Z50Apologies if it's teaching how to suck eggs so to speak! But it's dang useful for nubs like me! Cheers, John

Not at all John . . . . it's something I've always done with all coils, start low on the wattage and then gradually work up - most times I'll generally vape at lower than ' suggested ' wattages as a warm vape and throat hit isn't my style of vaping. And I'll generally leave a new coil to sit for 30+ mins after filling the tank, before using it.
Hope you're enjoying your new kit.

I followed your 'Perps method' and left the coil a full 40 mins to soak And I have to say, even at a lowly 7 watts 'break in' power this thing is waaaayy better than mah old Ego batts. I am a very happy camper! I've got one of these Aspire CF Mod coming as a backup. Once it arrives I can finally retire the Ego batts. Cheers, John

Just a little update. Changed the coil for the first time today after 45+ ml of juice (1.6mg strength, 70/30 PG/VG, vaping at 10W on the 1.6 Ohm coil). Changed the coil more out of a sense of duty as I was changing eliquid flavour, rather than needing to due to any noticeable flavour/vapour drop off Very very impressed with this tank and kit. Blown away tbh! John
