Well that didn't last very long Got up the other day and it was dead , checked power supply ... ahaa rummage around in bits drawer and find a replacement with exact same output .. happy days thinks I 5 hours later another power supply bites the dust ... don't think I'll bother trying another supply

I use a Buffalo router, it's very reliable, I have had it a few years now, and used it with 3 different ISPs without a hitch. It is much better than any router I have received from my ISPs (including the BT home hub)

I've gone back to my old buggy d-link router and it's behaving very well at the moment ... it did piss me off a few months back which is why I bought a new one
I was looking at the buffalo this affy .. but decided not to get one
Would really like a router thats gonna be consistent and perform .. not after miracles .. but next one I would prefer a bit more longevity

Cost a little more but work very well: www.draytek.co.uk/products/vigor2110.html

I wanted a new router and got one for £5 plus a year's contract with my ISP (Plusnet)
If you're in a built up area worth playing with settings so tom, dick and harry can't hack into it. Nothing is secure these days if they can find it

security is all sorted Jane no worries on that score , plus I live on top of a hill so signal is never a problem , I've just been unlucky with the routers I have had . In fairness to my old buggy reinstalled d-link it has been working brilliantly this time around , only time will tell if it goes back to it's old ways .
